This is a good mattress pad. It fits well, has deep reach with the attached sides, good elastic, and a reasonable fill. It's not super thick, all pictures of these sorts of products exaggerate the fill, like the picture of a burger at McD's. But it's pretty good. Maybe an inch of rise to it in it's daily-use state. It is ACTUALLY hypoallergenic. Unlike numerous things which claim to be on amazon (trust me, i'd know). Mine is on top of a 2" natural latex pad (on a very firm, but very durable, mattress). The latex does 'far' more for cushioning an overly firm mattress. This just adds a breathable & soft top layer. I'm very happy with the combo. If you wanted this to soften a bed, I don't think it would be sufficient, it's too soft for that. Anywhere there's real weight, it compresses completely and basically "bottoms out". It more just cradles up around where you lay to cradle you a bit in a way which doesn't feel supportive, but does feel 'cozy'. That's really what this is for. And it does that well. If you want padding, get latex (beats memory foam any day of the week and twice on tuesdays). If you want a cozy top, this is great. If you want both, they're great together. Read more

This pillow top is super comfortable, plush, and stays cool. Adding it to our expensive yet uncomfortable mattress made a significant difference in improving our sleep quality.
