I've been a Pac-Man fan since the 80s, but I've also been playing Metroidvania style games since around that same time. The two styles would have seemed almost incompatible until now. Several months ago, an episode of Secret Level deftly dropped a trailer for this game, but we had no idea at the time. Later, it would be divulged that this episode was unveiling things to come in the Pac-Man universe. I'm happy to say that this new game not only reflects the style and mood of that Secret Level episode, but it also takes the Pac-Man property to new heights. Resembling games like Castlevania or Super Metroid, Shadow Labyrinth is an epic journey that takes the best parts of the non-linear platform genre and blends them seamlessly with this moodier Pac-Man motif. It looks and plays fantastic! Overall, a lot of fun. I won't give away any of the game's key story points, but I would absolutely recommend gamers take a chance and find out for themselves. In an age when so many game developers are hesitant to take big chances, Shadow Labyrinth serves as a big exception. Definitely check this one out! Read more

So, the product had a nice sale price, and was delivered in good shape. The issue I have isn't because of Amazon but the manufacturer themselves. There's a small LED light inside the box and because of the batteries there's a huge warning printed on the actual box artwork. Not on the back, not a sticker on the plastic, actually permanently printed. It's ugly. Then, inside the box is a card with the same warning! Why did they need to destroy their box art? There's even a warning mark on the actual light, instead of the game's logo that's advertised in the promotional material. So basically, you're not getting what they say you will.
