I ordered a couple of binders / waist trainers to prepare for and recover from hernia surgery. This is one of the ones I tried. It ended up not being suitable for my precise needs at the moment and so I returned it, but it is really an excellent waist trainer! It was top-notch quality, very well-made, and the various levels of closure made it really, really secure and smooth-fitting. It even smoothed over my flared ribs! If I ever need a waist-trimmer or "corset" for anything, I'll definitely come back and get this again. My stats: I am 5'5", 135lbs and trim except for a slightly fuller tummy area from a moderate to severe diastasis. I generally wear a clothing size S or 4-6, but ordered this in a M. It might only be because of my tummy, but it was a bit of a battle to get this hooked up—I'd be curious to see how a L fit by comparison. Once I got it fully hooked and then zipped though, it fit beautifully! My tummy was flatter than it has been in decades, and I had a very decidedly graceful (not grotesque) hourglass shape. The design of the boning pulls everything together in the most flattering lines possible, and the tiny bit of stretch actually makes it comfortable too! Just FYI, I spent years doing historical reenacting, and this reminded me a lot of a Victorian-style underbust corset, but more comfortable with a "made for me" kind of fit. Highly recommended! Wonderful product very well made. I really like how it supports me. It’s high quality material too I think their sizing is spot on. The zipper quality is very good especially for the price. I enjoy the full coverage of the lower stomach as well and the upper back. It gives every day corset without all the steel bone torture and it’s still breathable! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Uhh so I got it. But there’s no zipper like at all there no trace of where it should be either it’s just the hooks. I’m so upset I needed this for a dress I wanted to wear Read more

Absolutely love definitely covers the lower portion, super sturdy comfortable definitely though hold you in, I will continue to purchase from them when the two that I bought we're out. Can't remember the name of the brand, but it was an expensive waist trainer & Shapshe is way better quality. I love my purple one is so beautiful. Read more

I really like this waist trainer overall — it shapes beautifully and gives a really nice, defined waistline once it’s on. It’s perfect for postpartum use or just for everyday wear if you want that smooth, sculpted look under clothes. However, it’s not medical grade, so I wouldn’t recommend it for post-surgery recovery. The material isn’t super tight at the bottom, which makes it comfortable but not as compressive as a clinical binder. It does take some time to get into (especially the first few times!), but once you figure out the hooks and zipper, it feels snug and supportive without restricting breathing. I also noticed it encourages better posture, which is a great bonus when sitting at a desk or standing for long periods. Overall, this is a solid, good-looking corset for shaping and posture support — just don’t expect medical-level compression. Read more

This is my 2nd waist trainer from Shapeshe. I bought my first after my MMO in a size medium, now I am a size small. The hooks and eyes make zipping it all up fairly easy to do. I have arthritis in my hands and fingers but can still manage to get this trainer on by myself. It ia definately helpful for post op swelling. Read more
