The suction power is so much better than the cordless vacuum cleaners, which is why I decided to go for this one. I really like it, the cord is long enough so I don't have to unplug and plug back in in every room. However, it is a little heavy for me, especially in the rug. But it is perfect for my bf and it is a great chore for him lol Read more

I just got it today and had to give it a test run. Can't speak to the self-cleaning brush roll yet. Was surprised to find it is heavier than my older Rocket. That factor makes it a little harder to maneuver. The light weight and maneuverability was a feature I particularly liked about the Shark. Still this is not too bad. The suction is great and it picks up my cat-fur-balls very nicely. Another surprise was when I was putting it away - the cord is just a tad longer than my older machine which means it can come up higher to attach the plug (on my old one the plug is always down at the bottom) - I like this. My older Shark cam with more attachments and a bag to keep them in which was nice. This model is a bit skimpy on those things and no bag for the 2 attachments (well one is a double so you could say there are 3). Overall I like it and if the self-cleaning roller really works I will be delighted! Read more

Great at picking up my cats fur, easy to move up and down stairs, good chord length, easy to clean and empty. Works on hardwood and tile too. For the price, it’s a great vacuum. One of my previous roommates had this vacuum. When they left I bought the exact same one. Read more

I've only used it a couple of times and I like it so far. We had a canister vac for 30 yrs (Filter Queen) and it finally died. But I had gotten the shark IQ robot vaccum a year ago that works great. It was a pain to get out the canister vac for the parts the robot vac can't get, so the stick vacuum is great for those things. You will have to come up with a place you can remember that you stored the attachments. It steers really easy by twisting the handle and gets very, very low under furniture, much better than an upright. And no bag. It's easy to empty. So far, it's a 5 star (that rhymes). 🎶 Read more

It started off with good suction. However, cleaning the brush is vastly difficult. It seems like the head / brushroll section cannot be removed easily for maintenance. Read more

This was a replacement of a cheap cordless vacuum that didn't last a full year. I didn't want to spend too much money on a cordless vacuum and be worried that down the road replacing the battery would be expensive. I decided to get this one, and it's really great. This vacuum is light, has great suction power. The only one complain I might have is that it is very loud. The cord is long enough that I barely have to move the plug while doing the whole house (1,516 sqf). I really love this vacuum. It's easy to clean and there is no hair wrapped. It's worth every penny! Read more

Love my sharks products. I wanted a stick vacuum for cleaning my downstairs ( I live in a split) without having to lug my heavier vacuum up and down the stairs all the time. This is light weight, has a powerful suction, a swivel head and easily goes under furniture. It’s corded so you won’t have to worry about having to charge it. Read more

I have had my Shark Rocket Vacuum for only 3 months, and the head is not working. There is a short in it. It goes on and off. That is too much money to throw away on something that will give you service for less than 3 months. Read more
