Shark SilkiPro Straight Wet-to-Dry Straightener Rapid Blow Dryer 3 Interchangeable Combs Ultra-Fast Drying No Heat Damage for All

First of all, wow! Upon arrival and throughout the unboxing of this product, I was so impressed with the care that was taken to package and provide information on the product. The presentation alone is very impressive! I really appreciated all of the extra information that was given. This was done through little stickers with details about particular pieces. There was also a booklet included full of information and easy to read step-by-step instructions on how to properly use the product. Furthermore, they provided a QR code that would link you to an instructional video on product use as well. This is such a great asset to ensure that you are getting the most out of the product. My daughter‘s hair is extremely thick and curly. We have tried many different methods and tools to effectively tame it in the least amount of time possible. I was a little skeptical that this one could do what it claimed, because I wasn’t sure such a product even existed after all of our attempts to find one! We’ve spent so much money on so many tools over the past few years. When I saw this one as part of the review program I participate in through Amazon, I was delighted! If there ever was a head of difficult hair to really give it a run for its money .. it was MY daughter’s hair! As an Customer, I always head straight to the reviews before making any purchase. I value others, opinions, and experiences in order to make decisions on which products will work best for myself and my family. I can objectively say without a doubt that this product is absolutely worth the hype! I would love to share a couple of things that I learned along the way with this product. I was so excited to unboxed it and put it to work that I probably didn’t pay as much attention to all of the information included that I should have. The process of using the wet to dry straight straightener, took me longer than it should have because of these two things: 1.) the instructions clearly recommend that you use the straightener to dry the hair in the locked position with one of the come attachments until it’s approximately 70% dry. I did not do this, therefore it took far more passes on the hair with the straightener than it should have. Had I followed the instructions thoroughly I would have been able to just have one pass with the straightener. 2.) The instructions specify exactly how much hair that you should process through the straightener at a time. Again, I was a little more excited than I should have been and did not take the time to thoroughly read everything and was attempting to straighten far more hair per pass through than I should have been. Regardless of my missed steps, the final result was so impressive! Her hair was so straight and so shiny! It stayed that way for two days until she washed it again. I’m sure it would have stayed longer if not for the wash. My daughter is 12 years old and this is absolutely something that she will be able to achieve on her own! It was so easy to use and it did not cause her any discomfort for me to use it on her hair. We have tried other devices that caused the hair to be so hot that it would burn her neck when I would release it and it would fall back down. That is absolutely not the case with this product. One of the features I really love about it is the auto shut off. It senses when you are not using it and shuts off automatically. This came in handy when I needed to set it down to grab a clip or have her adjust in her chair. I didn’t have to worry about turning it off and then setting it down I could simply just sit it down on the vanity. As soon as I picked it back up to use, it started going again. I was very eager to receive my new Shark Silki Pro styling tool, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing and did not live up to its claims. My first impression was that I thought I received the wrong product, as the product name on the box does not match the product name in the item title. It says Shark Air Straightener, not Shark Silki Pro... however, after unboxing it, it did appear to be the right product. I started out with wet hair and first used the purple comb with the dryer as the instructions recommend. This left my coarse, curly hair extremely frizzy! I then followed up with the wider tooth black comb and then the second fine tooth comb, which only improved the texture somewhat. Then I used the straightening iron only, but it did not compare to my usual straightening iron. I also found it impossible to get even a slight bend in the ends. Ultimately, I still needed to get out my usual styling tools to achieve my desired effect. The process took longer than it normally does, which defeats the purpose of purchasing this product. My expectation was that it would cut down my drying & styling time, with an improved result. Unfortunately, this was not the case for my specific hair type. This might be a good solution for those who already have semi straight hair, but I cannot recommend it for coarse, curly hair. Read more

I’ve been using the Shark SilkiPro Straight in Rose Petal for a few weeks now and I’m honestly impressed. I have frizzy, wavy hair and usually need both a blow dryer and a flat iron to get it smooth, but this cuts my routine way down. Being able to go from damp to fully dry and straight without switching tools is so convenient. The three interchangeable combs actually make a difference.
