I am where vacuums go to die. With 4 dogs and 5 cats, living on a mountain farm, I kill vacuums on a regular basis. I've managed to take out everything from an old Kirby to a new Dyson & everything in between. Even the ones designed for pet hair didn't last long. Then I got a shark navigator. It was true love! It was like having a Catholic priest come in on a regular basis to perform an exorcism on my carpets. For years, me & my Shark performed miracles in my home, proclaiming from my mountain top... THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN! Then we moved. I allowed a stranger to take my beloved Shark and haul it 2600 miles. By the time it arrived, it was too late. I founded it shoved behind a pile of boxes, hidden by the movers until after they left. It was literally in pieces, it's hoses and cords shredded and pulled from thier sockets. The handle snapped off at the neck, there was no chance of resurrection. I couldn't imagine what kind of torture my poor loyal side kick had endured, and was in doubt I would ever know such admiration for a household appliance again. I started the quest for a new vacuum, of course I knew it would be impossible to find such perfection again. Each year the new models get cheaper in parts while more expensive in price. After days of exhaustive searching... thinking perhaps I could find a remanufactured version of my old pal, I gave up. It was time to admit I had to buy something different. Still, my Navigator had been so wonderful, and I hadn't found anything on the market that seemed better so I ordered a newer model, and set my heart to disappointment. Certainly I would never find another who could make my heart pitter pat like that again! My new Shark arrived and I pulled it from the box. It was pretty, shiny, and a lovely color. I assembled the parts easily, hearing the click as each locked in place. It had a good weight to it, though I felt a bit like betraying a loved one as I tucked it into the closet... not yet ready to actually turn it on for a test run. The puppy took advantage of my distraction, as cable & internet providers came and went. The pup shredded anything he found tempting that had already been unpacked, including packing material. Little Styrofoam pieces and bits of a silk flower arrangement littered a bedroom floor. A calendar lying on top of a box would no longer adorn our wall. And fluffy bits of golden retriever dotted the carpet where he had rolled and played during his destructive frolic. I cleaned up what i could by hand and then instinctively reached in the closet for my Shark. It was not my dear, loyal soldier that heeded my call for assistance. No, there was a new soldier at the ready and it was time to see if it could handle the job. I plugged it in, and turned it on. The Shark came to life, illuminated with the power surging through it. With a light touch, the new machine moved as though floating over the floor, and followed my directions as though reading my mind. The shredded debris was instantly gone, nothing missed, no second pass needed. It was so efficient we were done before I knew it. I popped out the tank, emptied it and slipped it back in with ease. I rewrapped the cord and rolled the vacuum back to the closet. As I tucked it in to its spot I gave it a quick pat and whispered, "That'll do Shark. That'll do." It had done its duty well, with no hesitation or complaints. My old friend was laid to rest, and a new one had come to fill the hole in my heart & my closet. My dogs & cats fur would not be allowed to over run my home. I had a new champion that promised to fight the good fight. All that remains to be seen is how long it will last. A s we all lived happily ever after. Read more

I can’t speak highly enough about the professional rotator lift away. I have 3 of these! It’s probably the best vacuum I’ve ever used. I used to have a cleaning service and I would only use this vacuum even though my clients had their own brands at home. I would bring this with me because I knew the floors would get cleaner. I love how all of the attachments and features are so easy to use. It was easy to put together out of the box and went right to work. The container is easy to empty and can hold a lot of dust etc. It’s not too heavy for carrying and is good quality. I love this vacuum! Read more

It feels very "adult" to get this excited about a vavuum cleaner but I am very happy so far. It picks up dirt and dog hairs without any problems. (Although the smaller add on piece does struggle a bit with hairs, they get tangled in the roller, but it doesn't get blocked.) It's easy to cleaner the dirt container. As cons I would say it is quite heavy and also feel it's quite large. But it also feels sturdy and of proper quality. The cable cord feels on the short side for me. In some comments I read it's loud, and I agree. but you can change the settings according to the type of floor and it becomes silent (and still vacuums really well) Read more

This was easy to put together. Works very well. Little heavier than the last shark I had but I think it's going to work out good. Great suction. Read more

Amazing, fairly lightweight vacuum that picks up everything! A little background, I had 3 pets, a dog and 2 cats. My dog passed at the end of May and at the same time I was laid off due to the company I was working for closing its doors. Basically, due to a combination of depression, searching for a job, and changing jobs, I probably vacuumed my apartment once a month if I'm being generous. So my floors were dirty. Knowing I had the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend upcoming, I decided to get off my butt and do some real cleaning. I've had a Dyson Animal for about 12 years, and it didn't seem like it was working as well as it used to. I decided to buy this Shark since I didn't want to pay the price of another Dyson. After the first use, I can say it was worth every penny! I wanted to test how good the Shark was, so I vacuumed my apartment with my Dyson first. It filled 2 canisters worth of hair, dust, etc. I then vacuumed immediately after with the Shark, and it picked up everything my Dyson missed. 4 canisters worth of hair and dust! (Although the Shark canister is smaller, so probably 2.5-3 Dyson canisters worth of debris). Also, the hair and dust being picked up by the Shark is much finer than my Dyson sucked up. The filters also work very well, my apartment doesn't have that just vacuumed smell. I'll probably keep my Dyson to pick up cat litter around the box and any major spills just to extend the life of my Shark. If you want truly clean carpets, don't hesitate! Buy this vacuum! Read more

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away has been a game changer for keeping my floors clean. Suction is strong on both carpets and hard floors, picking up hair, dirt, and debris with minimal passes. So much so that we have to adjust the suction on carpet to beable to push it. The Lift-Away feature makes it easy to clean stairs and under furniture without dragging the whole unit around. The self-cleaning brush roll is awesome. It really helps prevent hair wrap, which saves a lot of time and frustration compared to other vacuums I’ve used. Maneuverability is smooth, and the attachments are handy for quick spot cleaning. Read more
