VERY Difficult Installation
I would give it 1 star, but in the end it worked out for me. The directions that come with it are absolute garbage. I did the flush mount, which I would NOT recommend. I think if I had done standard mount it would have been easier. My very meticulous cabinet installer cut the hole to the exact specifications. However, you end up with the microwave sitting way too low. I ended up using 4 sheets of plywood cut and fit into the hole to raise it up high enough so that it would work. I then I had to glue pieces of wood to the inside frame of the cabinet so the trim kit had something to mount to. As mentioned, I realized a lot of this was because of the flush mount, so perhaps if you did standard mount it would be better. Sharp really should have an installation video to walk people through it because I am not the only one who complains about how difficult it is, and how the instructions are minimal. The whole process took me at least 4 hours. And then to think of how much is spent on this; it's absurd. Way more expensive than the $175 microwave. Read more
