I'm going to preface this by saying I am not the target demographic, and I buy Shea Moisture products because they are affordable and natural. In general, I love them and understand not every product will be a good match for me. That said, this product was not a good fit for wavy, moderately oily hair and would be a better fit for hair that is more curly to coiled with limited movement oe build up of oil from the scalp. I bought it hoping it would be a good replacement for Shea Moisture's discontinued Smooth and Tame collection; however, it doesn't do what I hoped for wavy hair. It is a very light shampoo in that it doesn't strip oils from the hair or scalp. Honestly, it doesn't consistently remove excess oil from my scalp the first go around. The scent is lovely, albeit very reminiscent of sunscreen with the coconut. It doesn't tangle my hair when washing. I would highly recommend trying this product for a more curly or coiled hair type with or without an oily scalp. Read more
