Effects of light and color on our vision and psyche are obvious and fun - but amber has a specific calming quality while being highly visible and this rope is simply awesome. Shine really nailed a color that is difficult to render in this beautiful rope. (amber is used by naval operators waiving light sticks). The adhesive is very good, with all Shine lights, however not as good as a Govee desk light adhesive, it may need a little help. The drawback or benefit, is that they're slimmer than a Govee rope, with less surface area. Nonetheless, I knew that I needed an amber somehow and this 30 footer sits in my ceiling above a massage chair. Perfection. Pricey - does not disappoint Read more

Met my expectations. The cool white is actually very neutral, looks like pure white to me, very pleasant. There's no flickering but if you move the eyes quickly you can catch some flickering with peripheral vision. Pretty bright, not too bright. Mounted with the sticky back, seems to hold okay, time will tell. Cutting was a bit tricky. There are two sets of black marks, on two sides of the red thingy, confusing. If you cut in a wrong spot there's risk of having a dead inch or two at the end. I recommend cutting more than you need and then trimming. The cord at the end is waaay too short. If you hang on the ceiling you'll have the plug hanging in the middle of the wall. Please make the cord longer. Overall, good product, recommended. Read more

The light is excellent. The screws that come with it are a complete disaster. The head gets destroyed after first turn or two. They are dull and can't pierce anything, even after guiding hole. So plan accordingly to buy your own screws. Read more

I've been looking for a true 4000k 110v light strip and haven't been able to find it, they're either too warm or cold, not "pure" or "neutral", even when there are 3 color options offered. I bought a "middle" one from another brand, advertised as 4000k, but it was YELLOW in person (not amber/orange warm white). I saw the customer photo of this strip with the orange pillows near the pool, and said that sure looks like 4000k to me. Unfortunately it's colder than that in person, the camera exposure changes the color a little. For people like me who are picky about Kelvin color, I posted 3 pics to show how this strip really looks. The round ceiling porch light is a 7" 5-cct led disc set to the 4000k setting - as you can see, the strip is significantly colder. But I would say closer to 5k than 6k, it's not quite powder blue/daylight color. The photo of the garage appears neutral white, but that's the camera making it warmer. And I took a pic of my driveway from around the garage corner just to illustrate how very very VERY bright this strip is! It's not just a decorative facade light, it serves as a security floodlight! That's a 3-car length double wide driveway, and the garage apex illuminates it all the way out to the curb. Kind of overbearing, like Las Vegas in the middle of the night. I wasn't planning on buying the matching electronic dimmer with remote - I am now. Read more

Great lights with what looks like accurately advertised color temperature. Like many LED lights, it can be hard to find a dimmer that works well. I tried 3-4 LED compatible dimmers, and most would cause flickering. Ended up with a Zooz Zen72 and finally have smooth dimming down to about 20%. At full blast, these are bright! Super easy to install, adhesive seems really durable, and they bend reasonably well around corners. I've used them for 30-40 hours so far and all good. Read more
