I love recessed shelving because it takes advantage of space that is already there in your walls. This was delivered two days after it was ordered, on-schedule, on-time, well-packaged and in perfect brand new mint condition. This is a well-designed, well-made – quality stainless steel with a gorgeous matte-black finish! – shower niche. It is good-size but not big: a foot wide, two feet tall and about 4 inches deep. So it’s not a lot of space and I sort of wish it was a bit larger. But it’s certainly large enough for quite a few items. And if you have the space you can always get two of them. I am seriously considering getting another! As noted by others, the shelves slope very slightly so if you do choose to put it in the shower it’s not going to accumulate water. This is pretty easy and straightforward to install but it’s going to take more trouble to hardwire it for the LED lighting power. All the photos in the Amazon item description show it this way. None show the AC plug-in option for a reason: it makes what otherwise looks luxury high-end appear cheap and low-rent. Please note: 304 stainless steel is not magnetic! So the fact that magnets won’t stick to this does not mean it’s really plastic or something. This is an awesome shower niche made even moreso by the fact that – at least to my way of thinking – it’s best just installed in the bathroom wall and not the actual shower which, again, is how it’s shown in the Amazon item description. I love this shower niche. It is beautiful and has embedded LED lighting above each shelf. The shelves are sloped so that water can roll off. The LED lighting wires and power supply need to be routed to a location that is accessible in the case that it needs to be serviced. The power supply comes with an AC outlet plug attached so you can use a switched outlet. Alternatively you can unscrew the orange wire cover to hard wire the power supply. Read more

I recently installed this stainless steel recessed shower niche, and I wanted to share my review to discuss how much I like this product. Installation was straightforward; I just needed a hole big enough to fit this snuggly into place. It fits great. The waterproof LEDs are the upgrade we never knew we needed. The shelf itself isn't too heavy, but the build feels solid and durable. The feature I like the most is the sloped shelf on the bottom shelf. It has a slight slope, just enough so the water doesn't pool, but not so much that your things will be falling off. The unit has two shelves, which essentially eliminate the need for anything hanging in the shower to be in the way. After installation and waiting the allotted time for the adhesive to cure, everything stays in place just fine with no issues.
