Great lights, purchased Feb 2022 and have had zero issues. I have them installed in 2 sheds and 2 garages and are used frequently. The amount of light they put out incredible for working in my shop or garage. Would buy again if I needed them. Read more

I like these 72w (8ft) LED lights enough that, after installing the first four - I bought another four. I used them in storage rooms and the garage of course, and these *could* be the best buy on Amazon... except for one serious flaw: the electrical plug pigtails are horribly short (as in 10" long), so by the time you strip the ends, wire them into a box or existing outlet and then get the pigtail out, you have MAYBE 4-5" of length to reach the light itself. The lights are BRIGHT, and are otherwise excellent workspace LEDs as they have very good throw. In a 16x15 workroom where I previously had three traditional 4 foot, 2-bulb fluorescent T5 fixtures that died (ie 6 T5 bulbs), I hung up two 8ft LEDs and it was so bright I didn't feel the need to use a third. These are certainly equal to or better than any fluorescent fixture I've used, much easier to mount and much cheaper. You do get a fraction of a second delay from flipping them on to actual light - which can be annoying in a way - but for the application and intent it's no big deal. Again, the only real consideration are how freaking short the pigtail plugs are! If they were 2-3 feet long, it would be fantastic. Same again for the connector plugs (to plug one light into another), they are also laughably short and should be 3 feet long to daisy-chain each light together in a more functional way. Read more

I purchased these to replace fluorescent light fixtures and bulbs that I previously had in my garage. These lights are very light and easy to mount. I purchased a total of 8 to span my entire garage and workbench area. I will say, they are BRIGHT!! When on, it's like the garage is being illuminated by the daylight outside. The spec sheet says 100Lumens/Watt and at 72W, they give off plenty of light! For power, I picked up a few plug-in power cords which made the install quick and easy. By far the best light I've installed in a garage. Lights come well packaged with included mounting brackets, hard wire power cables, and the adapters to link the lights together. After 2 weeks, I did have one of the lights start flickering and not working. The seller was very quick to respond and resolve the issue!! UPDATE: Supplier sent a replacement shipment of lights promptly! Have my new lights installed without any issues! Extremely happy with my purchase. Read more

I've purchased and installed lights of this kind in previous homes in the past. When my new barn needed better illumination, I knew what I wanted. I purchased a 12 pack of 8 foot lights, a 4 pack of 8 foot lights, and a 4 pack of 4 foot lights. That's nearly $400 in lights! I chained a three together (8-4-8), hard wired the first in line into a box, and direct coupled the next two to cover a span of 24 feet. The remaining 8 foot lights were doubled up and direct wired. I did multiple rows of lights to eliminate shadows and brighten my work area. Key points about installing these lights: 1. Don't overtighten the brackets! The provided brackets are VERY lightweight, but so are the lights. The brackets hold well, but can be deformed if you drive the screw too tightly to your ceiling, joist, etc. Overtightened brackets provide zero tolerance for mistakes in installation and will make your life difficult. Overtightened brackets also prevent minor movement of the lights due to the natural expansion or contraction associated with heating and cooling of the lights (seasonal or due to residual heat). If the lights are too tight and can't move at all, you may have lights that become disconnected when chained together because those little movements can add up over time. My brackets can wiggle and spin slightly when I call them done... there is plenty of "grab" to hold the lights in this state. Also, this makes sliding the lights along the bracket path easier and helps with installation. 2. Use a chalk line or laser level! These lights are straight aluminum. They have some give for variation, but not too much. Laser levels are expensive so a chalk line is handy for those without one. Another option is to just use a piece of string held tight. This becomes more important when installing 8 foot lights as they require 4 brackets each. 3. These lights are not frosted. I installed similar lights with a frosted cover in a basement. The frosted covers do make the light easier on the eyes. These clear covered ones would be better on a high ceiling where a person wouldn't have them in the direct line of sight. They can work fine with 8 foot ceilings, just be aware that the LEDs are point-lights that are VERY bright. 4. 8 foot lights are not easy to ship. Mine were packed in high strength cardboard tubes. I was impressed. Mine arrived with no concerning damage, but it seems like others have experienced issues on occasion. I only had one cosmetic dent. Shipping damage isn't fun to deal with but please consider the difficulty in shipping an item like this. Issue I had with my lights: Two of my 8 foot lights stopped working shortly after installation. I'd say they burned out after about 20-30 minutes of being turned on. Amazon issued me some refund money for those two through their chat system and I'm happy with the resolution. I didn't expect an installation of this size to be without issue so I can't complain too much. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. Read more
