If you have injured your shoulder or are recovering from surgery, this is an excellent ice pack. I believe it can be used by warming it as well but I have not tried that it conforms to your shoulder and upper arm very nicely and the straps are quite adjustable and, easy to fit. There is a large zipper top plastic bag that contains the ice pack itself to keep it clean in your freezer. I would say that it is much better than a bag of frozen peas! Read more

Fantastic customer service when the gel pack leaked and they immediately replace it. The product is very comfortable and effective. After injuring my shoulder due to a violent fall wrangling an unruly German Shepard, I had to apply ice and heat to it, but ice packs would not stay in place. Other shoulder ice packs were not large enough for me, so I was pleased to find this unit was plenty large. Any shoulder ice pack is difficult to put on by yourself when one shoulder is in pain and doesn't work well. I can't blame this product for that. Get someone to aid you or learn a technique that works. I slipped it on my arm and over my shoulder then balanced it there while I leaned to the other side to let the long strap hang where I could grab it with my good arm then connect it. The ice worked for a bit over 30 minutes for me. I would recommend this product to others, especially the XL size for those of us who are large. Read more
