This is a nice large sponge that has several uses. It has two sections of mesh that would be very useful for removing bugs and other surface contaminants from windshields, exterior mirrors and paint protection film (PPF.) The other side, the blue side, is designed for washing the main body of the car. The listing says it is made of microfiber but it doesn't specify the composition. Is this 80% polyamide/20% plyester, 70/30 or something else? It doesn't feel particularly soft to me. I was also expecting this "long pile microfiber" to be thicker and plusher. It has an elastic band to hold it to your hand, if desired. I haven't used it yet. I'm not yet certain if I will use this on my ceramic coated paint. I would definitely use it on windshields and probably on friends' cars where the paint is swirled. I am NOT suggesting this sponge will mar paint, I'm just not convinced enough it wont. A nice sponge, and, if the manufacturer made the blue side thicker and plusher, might become my go to car washing sponge. Read more

I ordered this as I thought it would be convenient to have the benefits of a scrubbing texture for stuck on bugs, plus a sponge, plus the longer microfiber side as an all-in-one car wash tool. In reality, the overall size of it makes it cumbersome to dunk into most car wash buckets and even to hold. It isn’t great for harder to reach areas either, such as recessed areas where bumpers meet body panels. For the money, I’ll go back to buying each as an individual item (microfiber, sponge, and scrubber) and pay less overall. Having said that, this might be practical for those needing to wash very large trucks or RV’s by hand, but I didn’t care to use it for washing my cars. Read more

I needed a new sponge to wash my cars and came across this one as it checked off all the things I look for when getting a sponge. It has both the very soft string side and it has the soft but for ore scrubbing side with the netting. I always need the netting side to scrub all the bugs off my front and tar from my bottom side panels. It is nice and big and holds lots of soapy water to clean a large area at once. If you, or that car lover in your life, is looking for a new car wash sponge, this might be just the one. Contains 3 textures to make cleaning easy. The full back side is a thick, blue shag of threads for use over most of the car. Then you have some plain, exposed sponge area that is great for mirrors and glass and finally, an area covered with a textured material in case you have to scrub off bug guts or bird droppings. I used this sponge on my car multiple times a week. The microfiber textured side of the sponge is super soft and scrubs really gently but thoroughly. The foam core of the sponge is a great density as the scrubber does not loose its shape or contort, rather the strap on the opposite side can be used to hold the sponge to your hand and it hardly required gripping it at all. The other side has textured material that can be used to scrub off anything that requires something more abrasive. This is a great new addition to my car care tools and I am so glad I got it! I love using a new sponge for some reason. This one from SHSCLY is so good. I cannot find anything to complain about. Here are my thoughts. Good size. Not too big, not too small. Slightly larger than my hand. One side is solid, long pile micro-fiber. Sort of like a small micro fiber carpet. The pile is firmly into the rest of the sponge. I have had others where the yarn falls out when washing stuff. Not so on this. The other side is a dual threat. One end is great for scrubbing bugs and tar off vehicles. The other end is similar, just smaller and softer. I appreciate the elastic hand cover. That helps reduce my hand fatigue while washing cars and such. This is a great sponge for vehicle washing. This is a nice, thick sponge with lots of microfiber "fingers" on one side, and a scrubby surface on the other. It did a great job of cleaning my car, and the scrubby side was excellent for removing stubborn spots. What really sets this one apart is that it has a built in strap to go around your hand, making it easy to handle, and less likely to get dropped on the dirty ground. Read more
