Much more light for much less energy
Each LED bulb uses only 3 watts of electricity and yet puts out as much light as a 40 watt incandescent bulb. At full brightness, I was using 200 watts (8 bulbs x 25 watts each). Now I use only 24 watts total (8 x 3). If the longevity is as claimed, this purchase will more than pay for itself - especially as the cost of electricity continues to rise. Dimming works fine. UPDATE- fully dimmable and beautiful
After trying several bulbs with same result, we determined that it was the OLD dimmer switch. These bulbs are beautiful and give perfect ambiance. Nice shape but fail to dim below about 75%. Only dim slightly from full brightness so not what I need. Read more
Just enough light
I have only had these lights a few weeks, so I can't speak for the longevity, but I love these bulbs. They provide just enough light. I am using them in the bedroom and the dining room. I will certainly be purchasing again as needed in other areas of my house. Read more
Seem as bright as 60w
Unsure about longevity at this point, but I could tell little, if any, difference between the 40w and 60w, which works for me. LEDs are amazing. Read more
Great replacement
These are just great. 25 year old chandelier had 600 watts of incandescent bulbs. At three watts each, chandelier is now 72 watts of cool power and much more beautiful. Read more
