These are nice and thick and are so easy to clean. I am very happy with this purchase, it is going to make my oven/baking life so much better! its was a value for my money because I was scared I would get something flimsy. I used it underneath the baking rack when making ribs and to simply remove the sheet and put in sink, and just wash everything off was so easy and my pan looked new, no mess stuck on it! these will definitely help preserve my pans. I also slow baked ribs for 2 hours, and they looked exactly the same way they went in, no burnt or browning right away! as far as storing, I tried to roll them up but that part was not as simply as the pictures, so I just played flat on the drawer and it fit perfect and wasn't an inconvenience. The baking mats made my cookie making so much easier. No sticking and having to wash the cookie tray between each batch. So thin they are easy to store. Heat resistant also, and an excellent value for the money. I love them! Read more
Silicone mats work as described. Excellent substitute for parchment paper. I had seen silicone mats used by various cooks/chefs/bakers for years, but I finally decided to try them as I am baking a lot now that I'm retired. I was using a lot of parchment paper and I was not comfortable with that waste. Nothing sticks to the suface so a quick wash and rinse after every use is terrific. These make clean up a breeze. HOWEVER, My advice is, if you can boil them instead of baking them, do that. Our house was filled with smoke from baking them, every smoke alarm was blaring. What a pain. After we got the house cleared out, that took a while. The sheets were done baking and I started baking my cookies. I really couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between using these sheets or baking on the cookie sheet alone, but I know this, cleaning these sheets and cleaning the cookie sheet, huge difference. I wish I had put them in the sink, boiled a lot of water, and let them soak in that boiled water instead, but now I know and if I buy more. I will not bake them!! :) Read more
The first time I used it (after washing) my food tasted a little weird but I didn’t have any issues after. Wish I would’ve bought these sooner! They made holiday baking so much easier. If you’re looking to cut out aluminum or tired of purchasing parchment paper these are for you! No stickiness or stain residue. Used and high temps with no issues. So cheap for good quality!! I bought these because my daughter has them and LIVES them. I will never NOT use these when baking. I got so tired of scrubbing or soaking my baking sheets every time I used them. With these, throw them on the sheet, add food and bake. Nothing has stuck to them and the best part, toss them in the dishwasher for cleaning.
