It is very strong smelling that I noticed before I even opened the cap. It reminds me of dial soap or some other scented bar soap. Beware if you don't like strong perfume scents. The body wash is thick and lathers well. It rinses easily without leaving residue. I do not feel that this body wash is moisturizing at all. This dried out my skin too much. I need to use lotion afterwards and that's not something I usually need to do. The price for 4 bottles is a decent deal. The scent is strong and it's drying to my skin. The SILK Moisturizing Body Wash in the scent Shea Butter is a fragrant body wash that does a great job cleansing. The body wash lathers well, and leaves my skin feeling clean without any residue. The scent is quite potent, so if you are sensitive to fragrance, I would avoid this body wash. But if you’re a fan of strongly scented body washes, you’ll like this one. It’s also not as hydrating as I’d like. It does contain glycerin and vitamin E to help with hydration, but it still leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. I try and review a lot of different body washes here on Amazon. Silk isn’t a brand I would normally buy. I associate Silk with women’s shaving stuff normally. However, this is a good all around body wash. It is rich and creamy out of the bottle. It creates a nice dense lather which I really prefer in a body wash. It rinses off clean and leaves your skin with a touch of a “squeaky clean” feel. It is a nice all around cleansing experience. The only negative is the scent is a bit strong. Pleasant but it definitely will be something you notice when washing. The price is right for four bottles and these should last a long time. Recommend. Read more
The shea butter smell is a lot sharper than I expected. It's quite strong and pungent. It has a sort of classic bar soap smell that I'm not a big fan of, but it most certainly leaves me feeling clean. It creates a foamy lather that has a soapy kind of texture that rinses completely clean. It doesn't leave behind any slipperiness or oiliness, but does make my skin feel a little "squeaky," so I do need to follow up with a good moisturizer after showering. The 4 pack is a good value, but I personally can't get past the overpowering scent. Read more

I prefer bar soap to body wash, but I like having body wash on hand for my guest bathroom. I find that most people do like body wash better. This seems like a fairly standard body wash. It foams up nicely, but does feel a little drying. I know some people like that squeaky clean feeling, but I know that's when a body wash is going too far. I was excited about this body wash because I love the smell of shea butter, but this doesn't smell like shea butter to me. It has a generic, perfumed soap fragrance that is surprisingly strong given that fragrance is the last ingredient. This is an affordable body wash, but wouldn't be my first choice. Suds and cleans the skin well. However, I thought this product was only supposed to smell like shea butter. It does not have a shea butter scent. It has a strong perfume scent which lingers in the bathroom hours if not until the next day. It smells similar to Dial soap but more potent. One good thing is that the scent is fine for women and men. But since I have allergies the perfume really bothered me and I could not use it past 2 days. I gave the rest away. (Or it could be used to clean the toilet.) If you have allergies or do not like strong scents- stay away. Read more
