Nice looking, great fit for a corner versus lamps with round bases. There's a small pull chain for on-off. Shelves are sturdy enough for wandering cats. Shade with a 2700K bulk makes for warm lighting (use a 3000K bulb if you want it just a little whiter-brighter). But it's somewhat fiddly to assemble. The design isn't quite as good as a similar lamp I also bought from the local Big Box store, but the build quality is similar and this lamp is *much* cheaper. Notably, I think the shade part of this lamp is much better than the expensive Big Box version. Addressing other reviewers complaints: Assembly is actually easy, but you need a little bit of open space to work on it, and it takes about 30 mins longer than expected. It's not a super sturdy shelving unit, which is fine because it's a lamp, not a shelf. I treat the shelves as more of a design thing than a functional thing. Don't put anything breakable on them if the lamp is somewhere it could be bumped. And then my complaints: The cord clips provided aren't very elegant. The vertical pieces don't line up perfectly, but you'd have to look very closely to see that. The verticals can also get fiddled out of alignment if you have a bored child in the house or if you move the lamp around. Overall, if you're handy or don't mind a fiddly setup, the resulting lamp is quite decent, quite compact, and a good value. I'd buy it again. Read more

Date of this review: 07/17/2024 Purchased March 12, 2023 at a price point of $46.98 The assembly for this was simple and did not take long, it was a little weird at times lining things up but for the price you should expect that honestly. It has now been over a year of daily use as my bedroom lamp and I can confidently say this is great and was 10000000000% worth the money. Stability: decent. I have two cats that like to push on it. it does not move or shake Color: has not faded Functionality: No issues thus far electrical or otherwise Shelves are spacious I like that the lamp comes with cable management and its pretty. The lamp looks great, and i was able to plug it into a smart switch so i could turn it on and off with alexa. The build quality isnt that great, the wood seems lighter and cheaper then the quality of your average IKEA furniture, and two of the rods almost didnt screw in properly, but i was able to get it to work after a little bit of playing around. Fully assembled the lamp is extremely light, much lighter then it looks, like crazy light, but stable enough to where i dont think it would fall over all that easily. Putting it together makes it feel pretty sturdy, i would have more worries about the wood actually breaking, then for it to fall apart, but that would only happen if it get knocked over or someone fell onto it or something. I put some heavy books at the bottom to give it some more bottom weight to further prevent it from ever falling over, but overall, its a great lamp, it looks very stylish, like something you would get from barns and noble, the shelves are strong enough for you to put some random decorations or whatever you need to on, and i would definitely recommend it. just dont expect it to be heavy solid, barns and noble quality wood. Assembly is a complete breeze, you will only need a phillips screw driver for the 4 screws at the top and the base, the rest of the screws are double sided, so you just put one end in one pillar and one end into the next pillar and twist it around until it is tight, and violla Read more

This is a rather amazing lamp: attractive, well-designed, and inexpensive. I love the etagere aspect as I never have enough shelves for models and other decorative items. These shelves are actually quite useful as they are about 10" square. Of course, you cannot put heavy books on them as the lamp is quite light in weight, but it is sturdy enough. The parchment-like shade gives off a nice diffused light. All pieces were present, wrapped, and accounted for and, surprisingly, there was one extra of each set of screws. Everything fit together quite well, though one must be careful not to screw the double-headed screws in too deep (they connect the standards above and below the two middle shelves) as they upper standard needs enough to screw head to hold on to. But once I realized that, construction was simple and could almost be done without the instructions, but they came in handy for double-checking a few things before making mistakes. And do not screw everything in too forcibly as that may strip the holes. Just a good hand-tightening will do fine. I have constructed many pieces in my apartment and this is one of the easier, more straight-forward ones. But, as always, a little common sense must be used or the thing can go quite wrong. All in all, this is a good, practical floor lamp. It is, as many have said, quite lightweight but I would not call it 'cheap'. It is just sensible, lightweight materials that go together quite well with a little forethought. And it is very good value. Read more
