I can say without a doubt that this single-serve coffee maker, which accepts both pods and K-Cup powder, has become a staple in my daily routine. I like my coffee hot or iced depending on the day, and this machine always makes a great cup of coffee. It’s easy to use, has a wide selection, and is reliable enough to use every day without any issues. It’s fast enough for busy mornings but also versatile enough for weekends when I want to experiment with different blends. The interface is easy to use, and you can brew your first cup in just a few minutes. You can easily choose the amount of coffee you want, as the buttons are labeled and the cup size is adjustable. You can choose a small 6-ounce cup for a strong flavor or a larger 14-ounce cup for a longer sip. The machine holds enough water for multiple brews, so I don't have to refill it every time I want to make a cup. One excellent thing about this coffee maker is that you can use both K-Cup pods and ground coffee. This versatility allows me to quickly have a cup of brewed coffee when I'm in a hurry or use coffee grounds when I want to make my own. The included filter basket makes switching between the two brewing modes simple and clean. I've tried different grinds, like medium, dark, and extra-large, and the results have always been the same. The coffee always brews well and evenly. One of my favorite features is the "strong brew" button. When I need a strong, concentrated flavor in the morning, I just press this button, and I get the depth and body I want. It not only makes the coffee stronger, but it also makes the flavor more intense, which is great for those who like a strong cup of coffee. I also think this feature works great for iced coffee. When you use a smaller brew cup on the “strong” setting and pour it over ice, the coffee still has a full flavor without being watered down. You can easily make iced coffee like you would in a coffee shop at home. Overall, I think this Disposable Coffee Maker is a good choice for anyone who wants a reliable machine that makes great coffee without having to do too much. It makes great coffee every time, can make a variety of coffees, and feels like it will last a long time. Read more

The Horavie single serve coffee maker is light, quiet, fast, and easy to operate. With a full tank of water it’s great for a quick cup during the day; and when using the K-cups instead of grounds (or just water for tea) it’s virtually mess free. The unit brews coffee really fast and it comes out piping hot. It took less than a minute to brew 6 ounces on the strong setting with a K-cup, and about two minutes for 14 ounces using coffee grounds. In both cases I started with a cold mug and the result was too hot to drink immediately without first adding cream - a good thing! This was my first experience with K-cups and while the convenience is unmatched, there are limitations as to coffee strength due to the single tablespoon of coffee grounds in each K-cup. I like very strong dark roast coffee and I could not achieve that even when brewing only 6 ounces on the strong setting. I used Peet’s Organic Dark French Roast K-cups. Normally I use the cone filter drip method with 5 tablespoons of dark roast grounds for 16 ounces of water. Seriously strong and probably NOT normal use. It’s more like 16 ounces of espresso. The most I could fit into the container intended for grounds was 3 tablespoons. I set the unit on strong for 14 ounces. It actually made 15-½ ounces of coffee as you can see in the photo of the measuring cup I poured it into. The coffee tasted good but a bit watered down for me. It would likely be just fine for most people with normal taste buds. The only way I can see to achieve the extra strong coffee I crave would be using 2+ tablespoons of grounds with 6 ounces of water. Using the 3 tablespoons in the container was a bit much and it left coffee grounds and splashes inside the base unit where it is impossible to clean. I haven’t tried the descaling mode yet, nor the cold brew setting. Although it functions well, I have a few issues with the cosmetics and design of the unit. Pictures show the trim around the menu pad and the button on top in the same satin stainless finish, but they are actually a glossy chrome finish that looks like cheap plastic unlike the rest of the unit. It’s unfortunate that the button does not automatically cause the lid to pop up. You have to push the button and simultaneously lift the lid. The MIN/MAX marks are on the back of the water container, and are not visible without turning the machine around to see the backside. I’ll get used to that and premeasure, but putting the MIN/MAX on the sides where it could be easily seen would have been more useful. The cup holder area has a removable perforated metal plate over a shallow well for catching overflow. Like many other K-cup machines it is not heated. That’s a disadvantage if you need your coffee kept warm; but on the other hand, coffee that sits on a heater quickly turns bitter and harsh. Overall I’m happy with this device for its convenience. I can’t compare it to any other brand machine but it functions exactly as described by the seller, although ideally I’d make a couple of minor cosmetic changes in the design. Good job, Horavie! I scoop out the amount I need, seal the container, choose the size of the batch, and the machine takes care of the rest while I attend to other little jobs in the kitchen. This allows me to have a more personalized cup without having to deal with a giant multi-cup maker, which would take up more room and take longer to clean. The fact that I can switch between pods and grounds in the same item means that I do not need separate equipment for various situations or visitors. One of the most pleasant discoveries has been the fact that it is so good at supporting both hot and iced coffee. while it comes to iced beverages, I like to go for a smaller serving size and allow hot coffee to drip over ice in a glass that is durable. This has become a straightforward ritual for me while I am enjoying myself on cozy afternoons. I go back to enjoying bigger servings of hot coffee in my preferred cup when the weather is more on the chilly side. A varied selection of buttons is all that is required in order to switch between these types. When I read the description, the detachable fifty-ounce water reservoir seemed like a minor item; yet, when it is used on a regular basis, it makes a significant impact. I typically fill it up once in the morning and then boil a number of cups for myself and other family members, not having to worry about water again until much later in the day. It is simple to remove the reservoir in order to refill it or rinse it, and doing so allows for rapid cleaning, which enables the machine to work in a consistent manner. Read more
