I started doing focus-stacking mushroom photography and needed a tripod for groundwork that could hold my DSLR and a lens. Many of the tripods are made for cell phones or lightweight cameras. This one was advertised to hold more weight than I needed. It is stable and each leg can be extended differently for uneven ground. I have not tried the spikes yet, but this is a winner. Read more

I photograph rocket launches on the Space Coast of Florida and wanted a tripod that would get me within a foot of the ground. Critical to utilize a tripod for the streak photography I capture at night with long exposures. The tripod is very compact, easy to carry and set-up. Only issue I have is the "Ball Head" mount loosens very easily, causing some concern but I will take it off and put some loctite on it. Read more

I love everything about this one. I’ve tried a bunch of these. Some 3x the price and this one ticks all the boxes. My only single gripe. Is I wish there was a lock for the leg angle between up and wide. Wide can be a little too wide and low. Strait up can feel a bit tippy with my FX3a. Bought this to use as a shooting rest for rifle in a deer stand with large but low windows. Would need to almost get on my knees to take a shot. Window has a deep shelf below it. Already paid for itself. 🦌 Very stable under the circumstances. Read more
This is a table-top tripod “legs” only. It is very sturdy and can support more weight than I need, so that’s a good thing. I bought a geared tripod head separately. It looks like the small adjustment parts are metal. It’s just what I need for my spotting scope. Read more
