My favorite tripod! Great value for money. Higher quality than some at the same price point. Works perfectly as advertised. Nice and light, but also pretty solid. Not as stable as some, but you can hang a bag from the hook to help stabilize. High quality product for sure. Read more

I have several tripods ranging from heavy duty Manfrottos to compact no-name ones; but nothing I own was convenient for traveling and hiking. I decided to order a few tripods claiming to be lightweight and sturdy, but after going through about 10 of them, this is the only one I found that lived up to the claim (within a $100 budget). It is really light and based on how it folds up, it fits perfectly in the tripod holders on all of my camera and hiking bags. My typical load out is a Canon 1Dx with a 35-250mm L series lens. Total weight is around 8 lbs and I have not had any problems with the head. It has held the camera firmly in place, especially if I mount it at the lens. Now, the legs are thin when fully extended so you have to make sure you have tightened all the sections well and you are firmly planted. And because they are thin, they are likely more susceptible to shake or vibration so this may not be the best solution if you shoot in low light. It is much sturdier at mid height though. All-in-all, this is a great tripod and I recommend it. Read more

After 4 years of use I can attest to the build and usability of this tripod. Unlike my previous travel tripod, which had legs that were hard to deploy, the Sirui 7C has release clips that are both easy to access and allow the release of the locked legs. The tripod folds up to a very small size, yet can be extended for those times where height is needed. I have used the 7C extensively on the beach and in the mountains. Being so light, I don't mind taking it along. Read more

I bought this tripod as a second one to replace a much older tripod that lost a leg! Sirui seems to make good tripods, I have another one that's carbon fiber with lever locks which I still use. This one was to be mounted to a star tracker for milky way photography. It's a little smaller and lighter than my other tripod but still stable and just as well made. The only negative thing I can say is that I was unable to remove the ball head to mount the tracker directly to the top of the tripod. I'm guessing they used a strong threadlocker and it's not worth heating it up and potentially melting something, so I just mounted the tracker onto the ball mount via a mount plate. Read more

I shoot a lot of nature and shaving even a pound off of a tripod helps immensely when hiking miles up a mountain to get a single shot. This tripod is almost a full 2 pounds lighter than my last "travel" tripod. It's pretty sturdy, esp when you add a sand bag underneath. Sturdiness declines the more you extend the vertical top section, i would keep it all the way down if you can. Pro tip: keep an empty photography sand bag in your backpack and fill it with rocks, gravel, or sand when you get to your location. Then dump it out when done. No need to hike with all that weight. I love that it's small enough to fit in the water bottle pouch of most backpacks. So even if you don't have a fancy camera bag you can still pack this easily. Read more

Great tripod! The price is very cheap next to the quality you get. Although it doesn't necessarily feel like carbon fiber, it is very light and yet strong. At even surfaces it stays up perfectly, but in some situations where the ground isn't even it becomes easier to tip over. It folds down very small, and is easy to open back up. I can look through the camera when standing up without crouching when it is at its max height. Overall, this is an amazing tripod, even if it isn't a known brand. Read more
