Just tried out four <$30 tripods and this one wins easily. Best build quality for one thing - it looks and feels good, like it was designed to look good instead of as cheap as possible. Extruded aluminum legs with sturdy plastic locks and tabs. Rubber feet as well on pivots, so they actually sit on a surface fully. Great feel as it swings side to side as well as up and down. Smooth and clean, almost as if it has bearings like a very expensive tripod. Solid lock-in-place feel, you know the camera is staying where you position it. Every pivot and tilt point feels good and locks solid. Quick-release pad is nice addition adding value to a very inexpensive tripod. Honestly, this is the best tripod I've owned since a nearly $100 one back in the eighties. I'm even thinking about getting a couple as gifts this Christmas. Read more

Very well designed and manufactured. There were no instructions but you can pretty much figure it out, except for the camera mounting plate. Carefully look for the cam lock under the mounting plate on top of the tripod Once you open the cam, the mounting plate slides out and can very easily be attached to your camera. From then on it is easy to securely slide the camera, with the mounting plate attached, on and off the tripod. Exactly as I expected. I bought this for use with my laser level. It's by no means a quality camera tripod, but it works perfectly for what I need it, setting and adjusting my lightweight laser level. Read more

This worked decently for a few months nob that tightens the 360 ball head broke and rendered the tripod useless. also, i had screws loosing in the leg joints every week or so i would have to retighten them. Read more
