Perfect for travel
I’m an amateur/hobbyist photographer, and wanted something reasonably priced, light, but fully featured to allow me to shoot landscapes while traveling. SIRUI hit a homerun with this AM-254. I’ve traveled through Yosemite, Costa Rica, the Florida Keys, Ireland, and Scotland with this gem, and it has proven to be exactly what I was looking for. Versatile, light, compact, and easy to adjust, the AM-254 checks all the boxes. The legs and head adjust easily, but once locked in place are rock solid. The detachable plate design is effortless, and quick, making it seamless to transition from the tripod to hand shooting, and back again with ease. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that the screw lock on the bottom of the detachable plate is not easy to keep tight by hand. When hand tightened, the screw tends to back out over time, creating some sloppiness when transitioning from landscape to portrait shots. This can be overcome by keeping a flat head screwdriver handy. So it’s more of a minor annoyance than a critical flaw. Overall, for the price, I couldn’t be happier with this versatile tripod. For my level of photography, I couldn’t imagine needing to ever purchase anything else. Read more
Best Decision for my Camera
This Tripod is the answer to my photography issues! I do wildlife photography with telephoto lenses. I originally bought a cheap tripod, and spent more time trying to use it than getting great shots. I set up this SIRUI Carbon Fiber Camera Tripod, 50.7" Professional Heavy Duty Tripod and could not believe how steady and sturdy it is. $200+ is worth it if you are serious about your craft.
