Super light and stable tripod. Perfect for travel.
I really like this travel tripod. It is so much lighter then my previous Manfrotto aluminum tripod. With the ballhead it weight in at just a hair over 2 lbs. I took this on a recent adventure to Europe and was able to easily carry around in a small backpack without noticing the weight or bulk. The carbon fiber legs quickly damped out all vibration and easily supported by Nikon D300 with 18-200mm lens. The five section legs allow the tripod to compactly fold up but still felt sturdy. Although the Arca-Swiss style ballhead was very nice, I ended up swapping it for a mini Manfrotto ballhead to match my other quick release heads. My only complaint on the build of the tripod is I would have preferred cam style leg locks instead of the twist locks. I like being able to tighten the lock fit of a cam lock but this may be a personal preference. The twist locks allowed very quick extension of the legs though which allowed for easy setup. I would definitely recommend this travel tripod for any future travels. Read more
