It has thick, long fibers with vivid color, and quality rubber on the bottom which did not degrade after going through a washing machine and dryer. The color did not bleed or fade after the first wash, either. The low point of the mat is that after washing, some of the piles came loose and there is a little bit of fraying on the edges. Maybe that is all that will happen, but if it happened after one wash, I worry that it will become progressively worse after the next. I would expect it to stay intact longer, but it does look nice. This is called a Sisher Rug, or bathroom floor mat that is made to fit in small spaces perfectly. The rectangle shaped carpet measures at 25.5"x17.7". Even though its designed for bathroom, it can be used in any room to add a dash of color. I love the rainbow pattern, and the fluffy microfibers that feels soft under your feet. The thickness shows very good quality materials, with absorbent microfibers used on the top. On the bottom is a slip resistant base. The edges have good stitching that look durable for longevity. Although I am not certain if the material will keep its color overtime, so I will wash it with color safe products. My favorite feature is the bright rainbow colors that will change the appearance of a dull space. Multiple colors will match with almost anything. It can be used in any room and on multiple surfaces. Highly recommended for rainbow lovers like myself. I may not use this on my floors in order to keep it in the best condition. I plan to use it to cover a night stand, cover a seat cushion, or even as wall art. If your creative, this item is meant for you. Brighten up your home and mood when you add this accent any room. This rug ended up being a fun addition to the kitchen and keeps my feet comfortable while washing the dishes. The rug is thick and cushiony and the colors are rich and vibrant. This is a nice bathmat. What I like most about it are the colors. Rich bright colors have always appealed to me and that is what this rug has. I also appreciate that the border color is purple which is the main color in my bathroom. It is not what I would call a luxury rug, the fabric or pile is not thick or as even as a fancy rug would be, I would not describe it as velvety, but it's full enough and soft enough to be comfortable. The rubber backing is effective, it has never slipped when I walked or stood on it, it absorbs water that gets on it when I step out of the shower, I've never noticed it still wet when I return an hour or so later, and water does not soak through to the floor. It does well in the washing machine, I do not put it in the dryer. As a regular bath rug of this size and structure it is a little pricey, but the colors are what makes it worth it. I would have slipped the pink and just left the other colors, but it still is a cheerful, fun rug. Read more
