Got this to go out and shovel in very cold and windy conditions. While it did keep the wind and cold out along with pulling away the moisture I tend to agree with other reviews. I had to constantly stop and pull the mask away from my mouth and nose, I eventually pulled it down because it was so irritating. I do have some of those plastic things from 2020 to put under masks and may try that in the future to see if it helps. I would pay the extra for the ones with the stuff over the mouth and nose. I have been using this balaclava under my helmet for colder weather motorcycling. It does a good job helping to keep some heat close to my head without adding excessive bulk. It's comfortable against my helmet pads and doesn't add any noticeable pressure points for me. I haven't had any trouble running it through the washer and dryer so far. I'd recommend it. Read more

This Balaclava leaves me nothing to complain about. Most importantly, the fabric choice is the perfect blend between fleece and spandex. It is thick and warm, yet retains a level of breathability that will keep it from becoming wet if you sweat. I find this item creates only a minimal restriction to moving air in and out of my lungs during exertion. Also impressive is that this balaclava can be worn comfortably in three configurations and stays in place. I can wear this item pulled over my nose, just high enough to cover my nostrils, or with the flap folded down completely and off my face entirely. Lastly, the item fits true-to-size. The reflective coating on the back is low enough to be seen on the neck without being covered by my helmet or jacket. The length of the neck portion is the appropriate balance between sealing in warmth and bunching around my neck. This item is a steal at this price! Read more
