I’ve been on the search for a Korean tone-up cream for quite some time and haven’t one that was suitable for my combination skin with some ingredients I’d like to omit, until this came along at the very nth hour for my recent trip to Saratoga Springs and San Francisco. With some hesitancy, I went ahead and placed the order. The ingredients checked out alright in an assessment app. I totally dig their circular container, which differed from the masses in bottles, and not to mention - cute! While I had no prior experience with a tone-up cream, I went ahead and used it cautiously in case of white cast. I’ve played around with this product a few times by now and when it’ll look too white on my skin, I’ll just mix it up with an airbrush foundation. I’ve also been lazy in recent times during my trips and just slathered this on as is with no makeup to balance it and walked out with white cast and all. Anyway, it’s not too noticeable. This tone up cream from SKINFOOD gives a lighter appearance but also is super moisturising. It doesn't have much of a scent to it and it is very lightweight in texture. Tone up cream isn't meant for all skintypes as it can have a white cast to it. The ingredients are good and my skin looks blurred and pretty. This is a no-makeup look cream but it will tint your skin one to two shades lighter so use a light hand when applying. I’m in my 40s with very sensitive skin. Usually, my face starts dry when I start my day and then it becomes oily in some parts by the end of my day. In addition to that, my skin has started to look a little dull with some fine lines developing so I’m always on the lookout for helpful skin products which is why I ordered this tinted moisturizer. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT 1. I thought that it’s packaged very nicely. Quite compact and easy to just keep in my bag to bring with me whenever I need it. 2. I think that it contains enough moisturizer to last for quite a bit of time as I planned on using this whenever my skin starts to look and feel oily so it won’t be for my entire face. Just some parts. 3. The consistency is pretty thick. Quite like a foundation. 4. It applies to my skin quite easily. 5. I like that it’s matte finish and it does a good job doing that. 6. It is tinted. Unfortunately, it’s too light for me. It’s not as sheer as I would hope for my skin tone. It’s more obvious on me since I only apply it on specific areas. 7. While the finish is matte and my face does not look oily, I found it to be a little bit sticky even after an hour. 8. I like its scent. It’s quite light in smell. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I would’ve liked this moisturizer more if it’s not as tinted but it’s my skin tone that’s the issue so I won’t count that as a product negative. However, I’m not a fan of the sticky feeling even if it looks matte. I think that it’s cost-effective as you get enough product that could last you a while. For me this is a 4.5/5. Read more

This is the first time I've used a toner that's in the form of a cream and it's actually pretty cool. The cream had a thinner consistency which was kind of surprising but this made it easy to apply and blend into my skin. The cream does feel kind of heavy on my skin, which I didn't like, because it left behind a slightly sticky/tacky feel on my skin. This also didn't make me feel like my skin was anymore hydrated, only top layer moisture. There is a peach-like scent that I thought smelled good, but could be a turn-off for folks who are sensitive to smell. No issues with my skin getting irritated and it does leave my skin looking more matted but surprisingly, also a little tacky? The blurring effects faded after a couple of hours which was disappointing. It does help to even out my skin tone and provided some minimal coverage. I really like this toning cream! It’s slightly moisturizing (but don’t skip your regular moisturizer, it’s not fully hydrating) and it has a really nice blurring effect to even out skin tone. I’ve been using it right after my full skincare routine but before makeup and I like the finished effect it gives me. I don’t use foundation so this is a nice alternative to those who don’t want to do full-face but want a more evened tone. I have sensitive skin and this cream hasn’t bothered me at all. I know a lot of reviewers like the scent; I personally wish it had MORE scent as I love peach and this is barely-there (but again it’s probably best for sensitive skin not to have all the synthetic fragrances added). The price point is a little steep ($24.99 at the time of this review) and with daily use I feel like I’m going to go through it quickly, but I would consider purchasing again because I really do enjoy the way it evens out my skin tone.
