My mother is the one who first told me about skinners salve, a few years ago. She and my father swore it was the best, and they were right. It doesn't have a strong odor, just a mild smell, but that is fine. I have used it on very sore spots at night, and shower it off in the morning. It really does a good job of relieving aches and pains overnight. When I finally ran out of all the tubs my mother gave me, I had to buy some on my own. This stuff has long been a staple in my medicine cabinet, ever since my mother-in-law introduced me to it several years back. We use it for muscle pain relief, and also to help with head/chest colds and congestion. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and remove from heat. Add a tablespoon or two, and cover head with towel while placing face about 6-8 inches away and take deep breaths. Do this for several minutes, on/off until water cools or you start to feel passages opening up. You’ll notice it work even better within an hour. It’s also really helpful on sore or aching muscles.
