Sports a nice mid-century style. The touch control while unobtrusive, is not especially fitting of the aesthetic, but does a better job than some big gaudy glowing power button. I do wish the shade/dome was milkglass it's hard to argue with the price point. Wouldnt be cost effective otherwise. And with it being portable would lead to a catastrophic mess. This does lead to the lighting being a less diffuse glow at lower brightness levels and instead a clear and definite pattern matching the LED array inside. Some assembly necessary so you'll get to see that though the lamp does have a removable shade it is not serviceable in the sense that there is no e17 socket for a replaceable bulb which would have been far more appealing to an irreplaceable led smb mount board. Missed opportunity, and I would hope to see a v2 that addresses this. Read more
Really cute, just overpriced for the quality
The media could not be loaded. I think it is an adorable lamp, the perfect size for a small space and a little bit of ambient lighting. The base looks nice and arrived with no scratches or damage, but the shade is reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5. Even though $30 (at the time of this review) isn't an outrageous price, at this size I was still expecting glass. If I had read a little more closely, though, I would have known that it was going to be ABS - acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (i had to google it). That's fine, don't need the glass and appreciate a little more shatter resistance, but I don't appreciate the very obvious seam running all the way along the bottom. This review and video are obviously during the day, but at night you can see the seam when the lamp is on and it bugs me. Doesn't affect the functionality, obviously, everything works great. You need to charge it upon arrival, and after turning on you can tap to switch between the different lighting modes, holding to adjust dim levels. Overall, I still think it's super cute, but if that is the quality that is being manufactured this should be closer to a $15-$17 price point, hence 3 stars. Read more
