This product saved the nano fish. New to the hobby and got some Celestial Pearl Danios, Pygmy Corys and Endlers. They could not eat the 0.5mm food I bought. They'd try but just too big. I had to grind the pellets up but the size variations still left much inedible, and grinding flakes were too small and didn't sink or still too large. Not a good thing for water quality. I found a 0.1mm food but that was so light it never sank which didn't work for CPDs and Corys. This would sink if I gave it a little tap and didn't foul the floating plants and being 0.2 - 0.4mm it was happily eaten. I wish I hadn't wasted a lot of money trying to find a food they could eat. I will keep buying this as a staple food. This is the right size for nano fish. Get it and save your money and time, and the fish! Read more
The media could not be loaded. My little frys love this food. It is small enough they can eat it and they seem to like how it taste. The bottle has a LOT of food in it so it will last a long time. It's a good value for the money and it's brown colored so no red coloring getting icky in the filters. And small enough it goes down to the rock so they can eat it rather then going right to the filters. Easy top to open and feed with. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This video shows the size of fish that greedily ate this stuff up daily. I got the tiny fry fish food and LOVED how well it worked for my zebra danio fry. The tiny fry food was awesome but it did get a little messy sometimes. The small fry food doesn't have ANY issues with mess for me, and worked amazingly well. I burned an entire bottle of this over the 2.5ish months it took for the danios to grow to a good size to go to new homes. I WILL be keeping this food in stock from here on out! Read more
The fish like it. Great for tiny fry too. Read more
raising your own brine shrimp to feed young fry has got to be one of the most time consuming aspects of breeding goldfish. not only that, it also tends to foul up the water pretty fast. this was a decent alternative to that. it's easy to use, and doesn't seem to cloud up the water as quickly. the only draw back is that since it's not live, the fry don't always know to eat it since it's not swimming around. I have a mixed species 75 gallon tank with a painted turtle , a catfish , 3 tetras , 1 goldfish , 4 minnows , and about 10 guppy and all the fish love it . The guppy fry are able to eat it without having to fight the larger fish for it , and it sinks quickly so the catfish can get some too. Everyone likes it so I can't complain. The size of the granuales are great for the larger fish and the tiny guppy to both eat. Doesn't discolor my water at all and haven't seen any of it getting gummed up in the filter so it's definitely all getting eaten up before it has a chance to make it that far. Great value for how big the container is too. Read more
