Was looking to automate some lamps in my house. My requirements: * Reasonable price * Apple HomeKit compatible * No additional hubs required. These Refoss Smart WIFI Outlets fit the bill perfectly. The installation was dead simple: 1. Turn on lamp 2. Unplug lamp from outlet 3. Plug Refoss Smart WIFI Outlet into wall 4. Plug lamp into Refoss outlet 5. Open Apple HomeKit app on your Apple device and select Add Device 6. Scan QR code on side of Refoss outlet 7. Wait 30-60 seconds for the outlet to be recognized and proceed with naming the device and it's location in the HomeKit app. A-Thing-Of-Beauty!!!! This is how ALL automation accessories should work - especially those that claim to be Apple HomeKit compatible. No need for a third-party app, no need for account creation anywhere. Be aware if you research these devices, they are manufactured by Meross and indeed they seem to be indistinguishable from their "Meross"-branded counterparts. They have been working flawless. Highly recommend!! Read more

Very happy with the purchase. I am happy that I can give the outlets more custom schedules than even applehome allows from the meross app. Personally there are times where the device does not respond when I ask siri to turn on, which is a pain, but if i go to meross app i can click it on manually, or just press the button on the device itself. This is strange because i gave 2 of the outlets to my GF and hers never has that problem, so i wonder if its a wifi connectivity issue, perhaps my connection isnt as stable? Read more

Used these to control my Christmas Tree using Google Home/Assistant. Pretty cool to have the lights come on at a set time, off at a set time, and be able to control that also with voice. My wife was even messing with me by turning them off and on while she was away on a business trip. (thought my tree was possessed!). All in all, I would highly recommend. Read more

I've had these for about a year now and used them with Apple Homekit. (I do not want to create an account with meross so I add and control all smart devices using only Homekit.) They have been a big pain in my bum for the entire time I've owned them - every month or so Homekit showed "no response" for the outlet so I would have to remove it and then re-add it, which was super annoying. But at least they worked. Starting after the iOS 16 update, they stopped working at all. I can add them to Homekit and it says "added successfully", but then within 15-60 seconds it changes back to "no response". I have removed the outlets from the Home app and reset all of the outlets several times, but the same thing keeps happening. It says it adds the device, I can see it in Apple Home, and then within a minute it shows "no response" and absolutely will not work. I have 6 of these things and they are all just absolutely useless wastes of money now. I'm really hoping that once the Matter smart devices get released I will have more luck using smart devices in Homekit. But these are unfortunately going in the trash. :-( Read more

At first, I have a lot of problems with no response issues, thought I got some defected plugs that work sometimes and doesn't work at other, and the on/off timer is only 4 hrs. I almost return it. It actually works great once I figured out how it works. For Apple home, set up was straight forward, device can be set up use either Refoss or Home app, it appears Refoss can only do initial set up, it doesn't change WiFi or update, each smart plug needs to be set up individually, you might as well use the HomeKit app to start with. These plugs relies on Apple TV device or HomePod in order to work, or you will get " No response", no matter what you do. Smart plugs needs to be connected to the SAME ROUTER as your Apple TV or HomePod in order to work, so if your Apple TV or HomePod is not connected to the same router as the smart plugs, it will not work. You can manually turn on or off using the button on the plug. To reset the plugs, just hold down the button until you see the amber light, then it will flash amber and green simultaneously. Smart plugs needs to be flashing amber and green in order to connect to wifi. If you switch router or change SSID, deleted the device from your HomeKit app and reset smart plugs before it can connect to a different wifi again. It does not make sense that HomeKit automation can only set for 4 hrs, for more than 4 hrs, you can set one automation on and another on for off. For $20 for 4 that can handle 15A. This is the best bang for the bucks for Apple HomeKit. Read more

Apple Home is the only app needed to set these plugs up. All I had to do was go to app, tap add accessory and scan the QR on the plug itself. Bam, it's that easy. I was so surprised. Yes, smart home Newbie here. I did start to follow directions with download of company app, but that wasn't needed at all to use with Apple Home. Read more

These plus really are neat, they allow you to turn a few non-smart devices into smart devices! Lamps, Fans and other items that turn off with a switch work very well with these. I have to admit, I use mine with HomeKit as I'm using Apple devices, but they work flawlessly. I have a couple fans and lamps plugged into these. save some money on smart bulbs when dealing with lamps. just get these plugs, it also allows for manual control with the button on the side of the plugin itself so that's an added benefit. Highly recommended! Read more

We have two meross smart plugs already. They have been a pain to setup. But the one smart plug I used so far, setup in no time. That made me very happy. Read more
