The media could not be loaded. I have over 150 smart devices and somewhere between 30-40 smart plugs controlling all sorts of things, so I have a lot of experience in making a home smart. These caught my attention because the listing states they are "supporting both Bluetooth and WiFi. No more disconnections." There are devices that support both wireless methods, but I had not seen smart plugs advertised that way. Then, once I received them, the very small User Manual with even smaller print, never mentions Bluetooth or how that works. Very slim amount of info period in the manual. Most of it covers getting the plugs connected to the Tuya Smart Life app. Which if you have ANY experience with the Tuya Smart Life app, you already know it is a no-brainer to add devices using it. I document exactly how to do it in the video and I've not measured it precisely, but I imagine it took something like 20 seconds to plug in the smart plug and have it immediately recognized by Smart Life and connected to the network and ready to go. Very simple. I was surprised to see in the app that these smart plugs have the ability to track the amount of electricity they use. It would be nice if that was even mentioned anywhere in the listing or the User Manual, but I couldn't find any mention of it. It seems as though it might track actual usage, but no idea if that is true or not. The devices seem large, but when I compared them with other round smart plugs that I have, they are almost identical in size. Fortunately, they do allow enough room for a second device to be plugged into a standard duplex outlet in the wall (see pic) - granted, it will have to be something with a slim plug. For strictly 2.4GHz smart plugs, these seem to be a bit pricey - you can find similar plugs with the ability to handle both 2.4 & 5GHz networks in the same price range. Definitely a good smart plug, but the jury is out on its worth compared to similar devices. If it turns out that it DOES track actual electrical usage, that would give it an advantage over some others. But at this point, it just not clear to me that it does do that. Read more

At the basic level of smart plug functionality, these are great. They were easy to pair with my phone and connect to my WiFi. Easy to control on/off through several methods: the native app, a widget on your home screen so you don't even need to open the app, or integration with Google/Alexa so you can use voice commands, automations, or group with other devices from other brands to all work together. The connection and switching was stable whether my phone was on the same network or done from a remote location (as long as the plugs were on their home WiFi). The weirdest part about setup was you had a choice of 2 different apps from the same company. I went with "Smart Life" and those are the screenshots provided. I don't know how different the other app is or why there are two. A pleasant surprise was that not only do these plugs turn on/off on command, but each one acts as a little electric meter for whatever devices are plugged into them. The app tells you a summary of kilowatt-hour consumption per plug, per day. For a $5/month or $20/year subscription, you can get even more features but I did not opt for those, and am just using the free part of the app. Is still very insightful and provides energy saving tips. I can imagine the subscription being worth the potential energy savings/awareness depending on what devices are plugged in or could be automated to save power under certain conditions (e.g. electric space heater or AC turning on/off depending on the weather or if you leave the house). If you're not married to a particular brand of smart home devices and are comfortable with mixing and matching various brands, this is a good set to add to your collection. Read more

These are a great 4-pack of smart plugs that came nicely packaged and set up was super easy. The quality of these seem super nice and are the perfect option for Christmas lights. I am sure that I will be using these for more than just that, but they work great for that use case. Overall, they are smart plugs so not much more to say than they work great - highly recommend!
