I bought this mat to try it out, I have two Great Pyarnees. Loved it, so I bought another one. In the winter, the floors stay a mess, and the dogs like to lay infront of the door. My Chihuahua actually likes this to use for a potty pad – she likes the softness and she doesn’t like the prickly grass. So I bought several of these, and I like them because they are washable and do very well in the wash, even if she has had diarrhea on it. I know this is not the purpose for which it is intended, but the fact that it is washable and made for mud also makes it ideal for washable potty training pee pads. She will not go on the paper pee pads because she likes only soft lush surfaces to pee on. This mat has saved me from keeping her from wanting to pee on the bed. Read more

I purchase 4 of the same size 30X20, three different brands, three different prices from $8-10. All four were exact softness, products, color, thickness, trim, rubber backing and quality. I cannot tell one from another front or back. Go for the cheapest one! Brands were Arotive, Smirey Dog and Olanly Dog. I cannot attest to absorbent of moisture or dirt.
