This Smiry Door mat for “Muddy Paws” is actually better than or comparable to the “Muddy Matt” which in our experience is a much larger rug for less money which absorbs even more because it covers more surface area, it’s thicker and thus holds or traps more dirt/sand, and the slip resistance backing is incredible, it doesn’t move when our 52lb dog comes pouncing in on it. I love the light Gray color with the black paw and it blends right in with our other kitchen rugs. Overall the quality of the Smiry Muddy Paws along with its much larger size makes it the superior choice and a great value. I have not washed it yet, but pounding it out and hanging on our fence has sufficiently cleaned it and is easy. Came in fast and was able to lay it on a flat surface while we cleaned the floor and mopped it and it laid flat without any wrinkles within a hour of being opened, and had no funny odor at all. Love the color, cute paw print design and it's durability. Very absorbent and so far holds up well to my 4 dogs constantly running in and out of the doggy door. Looks great by the backdoor and my dogs love laying on it, as well. I was afraid of it falling apart but it stood up well after washing it in the washing machine. I let it air dry and tumble-dried it in the dryer on low to help remove any additional dog hair and debris it held. Excellent product nice thick rub non slip and does grab dirt I have two ball mats and a Bordo huge dogs in and out all day long. My kitchen was always messy. I put a couple of these in the kitchen. Purchased 2 of these. The Grey & the Brown. Went with colors that will hide some of the dirt. And they do a good job of it! This is a great overall mat and the price is excellent. It is saving my hardwood floors from a wet Husky that LOVES the swimming pool! It's a good medium thickness, keeping it from weighing a ton when wet. It's waterproof (as in "no water has seeped through to the floor after a soaked ball of wet fur has laid down & rolled on it"). It's easy to pick up & throw over a chair on the porch to quickly dry. It also has washed well. I advise NOT putting this in the dryer!! Hang it to dry and then give it a quick shake. Oh.... I also have a doberman, and 2 kids, and their friends.... so it gets ALOT of traffic! Still looks new! Factoring in the low price & the water resistance it's a steal of a deal! What a great rug! It’s made well and feels good when I step on it! It’s the perfect size in front of the door inside our sunroom. Will purchase a larger one for the other side of the sunroom that leads to the backyard. That one will protect the floor from dirty, wet, paws when it rains. I purchased this quite a while ago. It is very soft and washes nice. I purchased this because it had good ratings and said that it would keep dirt out. Mine does not keep the dirt out.
