My wife had been working her way through various weighted vests trying different ones and styles. I think this is probably her favorite so far. It's the first one that has come with the backpack type straps rather than something that has to go over the head more like a tactical vest. Also the weight is distributed into the vest rather than being in weighted packets that can be added or removed. This is an advantage in that the weight is much more evenly distributed around the body when wearing, but is a downside in that you can't adjust the weight of the vest it just weighs what it weighs. Other things of note are that it's pretty large so she had tons of extra space and might have liked being able to make it a bit snugger. If you look at the photos I took you can see there's a large gap of flexible fabric down in the corner. Even with the front clasp at its tightest it very much. Just sort of lays on your shoulders and then hangs down and isn't really cinched into your torso. We'd have preferred if it could have been tightened a bit, but I understand they have to be able to fit different body types and there aren't as many adjustments that can be done with this style. The fabric itself is a nice material. Almost feels like a wetsuit. Seems that it'll hold up very well if you're sweating or what not with it. Since you can't take out the weights though, which is true to some extent with all these vests, I wonder if it'll be harder to clean in the long run. I think with the fabric material that might assist with just being able to rinse it easily though. You don't have to worry about water getting into the weight packets. There's limited reflective strips on it, but some of the vest took that too far. This is just enough in my opinion. Read more
I like the challenge the 12 lb vest gives me on my walks—it definitely kicks things up a notch in a good way. The weight feels well distributed, and I really appreciate that the weights are flat and uniform rather than bulky. The reflective stripes on both the front and back are a thoughtful touch for safety, especially during early morning or evening walks. That said, the fit isn’t perfect for me. It seems designed to accommodate a wide range of body sizes, which is great in theory, but it causes the bottom sides to rub against my arms as I walk. After a while, that friction leaves my arms feeling raw. Overall, I do like the vest and plan to find ways to adjust it so it works perfectly for me, because the added challenge and design features are worth it. Read more
I have been rucking and walking with a ballistic filled with weights for a while since it it so good for burning calories and building body strength, but it can be inconvenient getting the whole thing on. I do it for prepared walks during the week, but my wife and I will take impromptu walks and she puts on a weighted backpack. This vest is a great replacement for that. It's quick so impromptu walks aren't an issue. The weight is incorporated into the vest do it's a no-brainer. Both she and I can just put it on, buckle it and go. I like the reflective straps on the vest for better visibility on the road. The vest is super comfortable since it is soft and filled with silicone and not hard metal weights. There is also no sand so no potential sand leaks either. It rests on my shoulders and torso easily and it literally feels like wearing only the shoulder straps from a backpack. I really enjoy wearing these for walking and in fact, I can now wear them around the house for passive workouts. The construction on this is great and I don't see loose threads or sloppy workmanship. I have been looking for a weighted vest to increase the efficiency and calorie burn of my nightly walks. This vest from Rhospubol gives you that extra weight but is still comfortable. The wide shoulder straps stay in place as you move and the material is not bulky or lumpy like some vests are. This weighted vest is smooth and has the weight distributed evenly throughout. The reflective stripes ensure that you can be seen when walking at dusk. The only issue I have is that it only has one buckle that sits high on my chest and there is no way to tighten the lower half (this model does not have a side strap). The area of the vest under my arms sticks out a bit so my arms rub against it if I don’t have the buckle tightened as far as it can go and readjust the vest on my body as needed. Aside from that, it seems very well made with no snags or loose stitching, and you definitely feel the extra weight when walking with it on. It is easy to put on and take off and provides a better workout than walking without it. This vest is worth the investment. Read more

I jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a weighted vest. I’m impressed by the design of this one. It’s not bulky and it fits comfortably. I’ve got some weight to lose, so I’ve been using on the treadmill, but also started wearing it around the house. Functions well. It feels, dare I say, comfortable once on!
