* see below update Every morning, I enjoy the first few sips of my coffee, but invariably, other tasks pop up, and by the time I get back to drinking my coffee, it's cold, and I don't have time to reheat it. Plus, I don't like to chug coffee & tea. So, I end up mostly drinking cold beverages. Not anymore! Never in a thousand years would I think I'd pay $140 for a cup, but the enjoyment I'm experiencing from every sip of my morning coffee (and evening herbal tea) being consistently warm to the exact temperature I prefer makes this purchase worth every cent. The 122-degree setting is not warm enough for me, and the 145-degree setting is too hot, but 135 is just right. I selected the SMRTMUGG X, because it has the largest capacity I could find on the market. I was surprised to find that the lower tapered part of the cup contains the heating element and only the area above the taper can be filled with fluid, but the capacity (without the lid) is the same as my large coffee mug. So, this suits my needs perfectly. I can't yet comment on how long the battery will hold a charge (and recharge). It fits in my car cup holders. It has a very high-quality feel, and because I know what temp setting I prefer, I don't mind that the button to adjust the temp and turn the mug on/off is on the bottom of the cup. I am so pleased with this purchase, even if I'm embarrassed to tell anyone how much I spent on it. 5/19 update: After daily use for a month and a half, I’m bumping my 5 star review down to 3 stars because the paint is chipping off all around the top edge and it will no longer charge. I don’t use the cover at home. So, this is happening where my lips touch the mug. This is covered under the warranty and I am awaiting a return label, which requires me to be without a cup until they receive the old one and can ship out a replacement. So, I’ve decided to also purchase a different brand to not be without a heated mug. I’ll update the number of stars up, or down after I see if this happens again with the replacement. 12/13/25 Update I bumped this back up to 5 stars due to the excellent Smrtmugg customer service. I originally loved this mug when I ordered it on May 8, 2025. It kept my coffee and tea warm just as promised, and I really enjoyed using it. Unfortunately, after less than three months, it stopped charging and no longer works. For the price, I expected much better durability. Looks awsome! Works like it should. Kept my drink temperature like it said. Only downside is that battery drain too fast! Full battery with lid on . Temperature at 125-131 last me about 5hr max. You can actually see the battery light go down with in 1hr. Overall not a bad heated coffee mug wish the battery actually last like it say. Read more

Only gave 4 stars because the type c cable provided did not work. Not that big of a deal as I have alot of type c chargers but if I buy something new, I do expect for all of the cords to work correctly. Besides that the cup works great and keeps my tea/coffee at a perfect hot temperature. Im a teacher so I dont get to drink my coffee super fast but I like it hot during the winter ans this does this. The cup keeps a good charge off the charging port, but I just keep it on the charger. Love it! Read more
