This light came completely assembled, all you need to do is attach the power cord. The time and calendar display is easy to read, better than others that are narrower and has all the information that you need. The controls work well and the light has 3 color and 5 brightness setting, is bright enough and the light swivels. The phone charger is an extra benefit. I think you'll be happy with the purchase. There were no instructions included, so I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to set it. Also the charging pad gets hot sometimes, and there is no dimmer for the display, which lights up the entire room so i have to sit something in front of it at night Other than that, its pretty decent.
