This oval soap dish was a great addition to my guest bath. I have recently changed the fixtures and hardware from chrome to brushed gold. I wanted to keep the color scheme consistent, so I ordered this ceramic holder in a medium bright gold to keep a luxury, decorative soap bar available for guests who prefer a bar to a liquid. The tray can also hold a sponge, swabs, or cotton balls. This item is big enough to hold plenty of content on a sink, vanity, shower or tub, yet not too large to comfortably fit in small areas and spaces. There are two holes on the underbelly of the tray that are helpful to prevent water from accumulating underneath. The tray itself is actually hollowed out as well. It does not appear to have any anti slip features, but I have not had any issue with the soap holder slipping, moving or falling off the narrow side of the sink where I have placed it. The slightly raised sides are helpful to prevent the contents from sliding or spilling out of the tray. The color of this soap dish was what originally caught my eye. It is a bright shiny gold that is reflective in the light. Most of the other fixtures and decor in my guest bath are a brushed gold, but the slight variation in color works and meshes together quite nicely. The top is smooth. The sides measure a little under 1" and add a little interest to the piece with the teardrop pattern surrounding all around the soap tray. This is such a pretty soap dish and exactly what I wanted. The gold finish is rich and shiny, and the shape is classic and would suit a variety of decor. It fits a regular sized bar of soap perfectly. It's a great value for such an attractive dish. Read more
