Used this to make some authentic Bavarian pretzels. Like that pub style large dark pretzel you can only usually get at Octoberfest festivals or similar events. This stuff worked perfect for the getting the pretzels that signature dark brown crisp outer crust. Read more

High quality product, very pure and great value for money. Dissolves easily and the container is Child-resistant for safety, but also easy to open for being child-resistant. I use this for adjusting the pH of liquid supplement blends when necessary and as a result wanted to ensure I had a food grade product. I also use this when making pretzels, as I believe it makes a superior product to using something like baking soda. Do be careful when using this product, in raw form I would recommend wearing gloves and splash-proof goggles. Sodium Hydroxide is a great product when used as intended, but as a very strong base it can be very dangerous when used haphazardly. Read more
