I used these in two pairs of shoes. The first one was a New Balance running shoe that I totally wore out. I walk about 3 miles a day, including stairs. Good shoes/insoles are VERY important to me. When I replaced the NB insoles with these, I could tell an immediate difference. They were definitely comfortable, but much more firm than I was used to. The NB's that I had were definitely cushy. At first, I was worried that these were too firm, but after a month of walking my feet, knees, and legs still felt great. These were also much thicker than the original insoles, my feet barely fit in the NB's after I replaced them. Things were definitely tighter, but not unbearably so. One strange note: these made an odd "squeaking" sound (more like a farting sound) with every step. It was definitely due to the NB's I had though, probably rubbing against the inside somewhere. I also used them in a pair of non-running shoes that were so worn and flat that I couldn't wear them for more than a day. These are now my main shoe again thanks to these. They are more comfortable than when they were new. I usually replace shoes about every two months, but these will at least double the life. I've been using these for nearly two months and they're no where near worn. AWESOME insoles!! Read more

I've been trying to find a good insert for a couple weeks now. I've purchased a couple Dr Scholl's, a set of Copper Fit with adjustable arch support, and these Sof Soles. I have relatively highs arches but not high enough that I need the Plantar Fasciitis height. My experience with Dr Scholl's is the high arch support is too wide for the standard tennis/running shoe; they caused the shoes to bulge and the arch support wasn't exactly where I needed it because they're "one size fits all". The Copper Fit are "one size fits all" but better than the Dr Scholl's IMO because the arch support has relief cuts on the bottom of the inserts. The Sof Soles are on a different level because they a size specific and fit into my shoes without having to cut them. Because of this, the arch support is in the correct location. I only gave 4 stars because I've only had them for a short time, and because to get 5 stars from me, the product has to be exceptional. The inserts will be in my hiking boots for a week long trip to Zion National Park in October; if these inserts deserve more or less than 4 stars, I'll modify my review following the trip. Read more

This is the second pair of these I've owned. I bought the first pair to go in a new pair of Solomon hiking boots. I wore that pair with the insoles for 7 years, and the insoles outlasted the boots. I just bought a new pair of Solomon boots and figures the setup worked so well the first time, I might as well do it again. These are comfortable and supportive. And the 11 to 12.5 size drops perfectly into Solomon 11.5 boots with no cutting or trimming. I can tell you that I have walked 20 miles at a stretch and my feet did not get sore. Everything else did, but not my feet. Love these insoles! A bit pricey, but worth it. Read more

The Sof Sole Airr Full Length Gel inserts are okay. I purchased them for my son's cleats and initially they were very comfortable. The inserts were true to size, they fit the shoes well (not too bulky) and have a nice grip to the bottom so they don't make noise or slip around. They felt well made and a looked like a quality product. My son had positive things to say about the overall comfort and performance. He did not mention any unusual sensations about the heal gel so I figured we were all good. Unfortunately after less than a month of use (2 times a week) the gel pad in one of the heals has already begun to dissipate. I have ordered replacement inserts and am hoping that it was a defect considering usage in other reviews. If the inserts were flat in the heal once the gel wears out, then it would not be as much of a problem, but there is a cavity where the gel is supposed to stay. We will give them another shot but my suspicion is that they will not hold up to the abuse. Read more

Ordered 9 - 10.5 for a 9.5 size shoe. Fit fine with no trimming needed. If you had a 10.5 shoe, you might want to order next size up as these could be too small. They did fit into size 9.5 N, Brooks running shoes with no problems either in length or width. they are a bit thick; but do fit into my Brooks running shoes. If you all ready fill up your shoes, these could be too thick, but I have narrow feet and generally my foot does not "fill" a shoe. Thus, I have sufficient room in the shoe. Haven't had a chance to wear them a lot; but have gone walking/jogging about 5 times for about 45 minutes each time. Comfortable right away; but do get more comfortable with each wearing. They do provide good cushioning and I enjoy them. Provide more cushioning for walking at the mall in inclement weather, and just give more cushion for walking/jogging on pavement/asphalt roads and walkways. I gave them 5 stars for now; out of the box. Hoping they last long term. Read more

Was trying to find a solution to make my work shoes more comfortable and finally made a decision on this purchase. Was hesitant, but pulled the trigger anyway. To my surprise, they actually worked! Make standing all day, with movement as well, a whole lot more bearable. I work in a food establishment, to give an idea on the complete picture on the use for these inserts. I do wish they were cheaper, but at least they seem to be serving their purpose. Good luck with the decision making. Read more
