This table was the perfect size for what I needed. I set it up behind an inward opening door, and kept a water pitcher, electric kettle, and rice cooker on it for a whole year and never had any issues. Also had more than enough space underneath for a garbage bin, and I never felt like that compromised its stability. Occasionally, we would even accidentally hit it with the (rather heavy) door, but as far as I can tell, there was no damage and nothing was knocked over. Yo can put a foot rest under it very easily, there's plenty of room. It's very durably and sturdy. The size fits my 17" laptop, leaving room for my mouse pad and my coffee/water. Price was great, fast shipping, but the packaging has a few things to be desired, like padding. This table is very well made, very sturdy, easy to set up or store away. I use it for a lot of things - for a quick snack while watching TV, to wrap a gift, to set an item on it when I need to take a photo of it, and to set my laptop on when I need to move to a different room. It easily opens and closes, which helps if you're carrying something and only have one free hand. The set of folding trays I have are very unstable and don't have enough leg room. This table has enough leg room for comfort. I debated whether to get the one with or without the additional shelf, so I got the one without the shelf. I'm very pleased with it and don't regret my decision at all. For my needs, the small shelf would only take up space. I liked this table so much, I bought one for my sister and brother-in-law out-of-state. They said they like it a lot, too. It was definitely a good purchase, and one that will probably last. I got the Oak/White combo for my daughter's little apartment. it's the perfect size for working solo from home. It folds out of the way when the work day is over, and she could use it as a TV tray if she wanted. The light color looks fresh and unobtrusive in a small space. It's light and easy to maneuver, but still very sturdy. There's no concerns that this is going to tip over. Plenty of leg room and a good height. Affordable solution to a tiny home that needs a desk. We have a small house with limited space so our rickety old TV-tray comes in handy as a make-shift table for work, study or crafts . We thought we were getting a similar type of TV-tray that might store a bit more easily and not be so darn ugly; but this portable table was much more stable, sturdy, well-designed, attractive and simple to use than we expected. We love it! Know that this really is more of a portable desk. As you can see from the picture it stores well, and taking it out and using it is basically effortless -- unlike our old TV tray which set-up in three steps; this desk elegantly unfolds in one smooth step. What I really like about it, personally, is it's substantial enough that I can use it out on the porch without having to worry a little wind will topple it. I can also lean my elbows on it as I work without it creaking or tilting or straining. For us, this was definitely worth the money. A great purchase. This might be the most perfect portable desk at a good price. I needed a short term desk and was willing to just get rid of it after use - so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect - and because it folds up, I can actually bring it back with me in my car and easily store it. The desk is very sturdy yet light. Made well. Right height.
