The scale works great, seems accurate compared to the Dr.'s (and Vet's) scales around the 200lb region, and it doesn't take much (sun)light at all to keep it powered - works just fine on a dreary, overcast rainy winter morning with minimal light through a window. Very lightweight and seems so far to be durable (I've accidentally kicked it around a few times) for such a low cost item. I've used it daily (or multiple times a day) for 2 months and my readings seem very consistent. The glass is not like kitchen glass, it's more flexible and has give to it and doesn't seem slippy at all (I only step on with dry feet). It runs on the smaller size physically and one has to practice standing still and upright to get all 4 corner-oriented sensors to properly register the correct weight - leaning forward or backward can change the result by a few lbs. If you have really large feet this scale might be a little too small if your heels and balls cannot align correctly to the sensors. Read more
Prior to this I had a solar powered scale for many years that unfortunately broke on my bathroom tile. This scale is so much better than my old scale. Love the solar power. It's platform is glass - I guess I didn't notice that before I bought it. The glass is slippery when wet so don't use it straight out the bath or shower. Personally, the glass makes me uncomfortable, but it works fine & feels sturdy. The glass is why I held back 1 star, I would not buy again. Read more

When I decided to look for a scale that didn't use batteries, there were not many options. This one stood out as the right approach, and it did not fail to deliver. A nuclear-powered scale that takes no batteries is perfect. Well, the sun is nuclear, so that's what solar is. And my bathroom with a skylight makes it an ideal solution.
