SONGMICS Kitchen Trash Can 13-Gallon 50 L Garbage Can with Lid Stainless Steel Soft Close and Stays Open

I’ve used this trash can for 6 weeks. There are 8 of us. Lots of kitchen trash. Trash can is best design out of and I’ve ever had. Works flawlessly. Lid closes without noise. Removable liner is sturdy and is easy to remove/ replace. Standard 13 gal trash bags fit. Stainless outside is attractive and cleans easily. It is not for those people who have a dog that likes to raid the trash. While we have no pets inside, I can see how a smart medium to large dog could easily open lid. Mine arrived with a couple of shallow dents but they weren’t severe enough to warrant a return or an exchange. I’m very satisfied with the solid construction, strong grip on my tile floor (not sliding around), silent lid, flat back with no protruding hinge, and the ease of putting on & taking off a bag. This is a really handsome trash can, much nicer than my last one. It is a nice neat rectangular shape, fitting neatly into the little niche in my kitchen. Everything seems to work well. It arrived quickly with no denting - I noticed several reviews where people mentioned that theirs arrived slightly damaged. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because my regular 13 gallon trash bags need to be really stretched to fit the can. I’m thinking that you need to use those flex bags otherwise your bags may get too stressed. Which is ok for me since I use those anyway. The can itself comes with a hefty roll of bags that are slightly larger than the typical. Not sure if they’re trying to upsell their own bags? Anyway, that’s just a word of caution. As the title suggests, the garbage can functions well and there are no problems with the lid opening and closing. It has a nice area in the back to facilitate moving it around. Overall, highly recommended. Read more

Well made and sturdy trash bin. The soft close is a nice feature and also the backside of the bin is flat so it can be placed against a wall almost flush. Other trash bins have a bulky lid hinge cover on the back, this does not. It has a nice handle that is set into the back of the bin so you can pick it up easily if needed. It also keeps trash odors away. The only wish I have is that the logo isn't so big or so noticeable on the front of the bin. Read more
