I had wanted to try dermaplaning for awhile now but was always too nervous to actually do it. I finally decided to after seeing this electric model. I really like that it's cordless and has a rechargeable battery so I can use it wherever is convenient at the time especially since I share a bathroom with two other people and have limited outlet space. The kit comes complete with the shaving unit itself, a blade cover, a charging cord, cleaning brush and 12 blades which should last a very long time making it an overall really good deal in my opinion. Using it was surprisingly easy even though I had never done it before and was as simple as charge, slide a blade on, hold the button for a couple seconds and go for it. I didn't even know until turning it on that it had a super bright light around the blade to make seeing those super fine hairs easy as pie. The curved handle feels good in my hands and lets me get in close without strain. It sounds really quiet to me too so it could be used without disturbing anyone. It cut through the fuzz well and left almost nothing behind. It did make my skin a bit flaky but I think that's because I did not keep my skin wet enough while using it and it still didn't actually make my skin feel irritated or anything and also left no nicks or cuts. After finishing I rinsed my face off to remove any of the cut pieces of hair and wet it to finish my skincare. I was seriously not expecting my skin to feel that different or that much softer and smoother but I tell you it kinda shocked me a little in the best of ways. I am truly excited to see how much better my skincare works in the long run without all that fuzz in the way. My only regret is that I waited this long to start. I was excited to try this electric dermaplaning tool because I already dermaplane occasionally, mostly on my sideburns and cheek area. I haven’t been brave enough to do my entire face yet, but I do like how dermaplaning helps skincare absorb better and leaves the skin feeling smoother. One of my favorite features on this tool is the built-in light. When you turn it on, it shines directly down onto the skin so you can clearly see where you’re working. My only real complaint is that it doesn’t shave quite as closely as a traditional manual dermaplaning razor. Even after going over an area a few times, the result didn’t feel quite as smooth as when I use a regular blade. That said, the design includes safety bumpers, so it would be very difficult to nick yourself with this tool. For people who are nervous about dermaplaning or new to it, that extra safety might actually be a big advantage. Overall, it’s a very easy and beginner-friendly tool with some thoughtful features, especially the light and safety design. My only hesitation is the price, which feels a little high for what it is. That said, if the replacement blades are reasonably priced, it may balance out over time. I received this dermaplane razor and I have been really impressed with how well it works for at-home exfoliation and peach fuzz removal. This dermaplaning tool is decent, but not quite what I was hoping for. I really like the idea behind it, especially for beginners. The sonic vibration makes it feel safer to use, and I do think it helps prevent nicks and irritation, which is a big plus for sensitive skin. That said, it just doesn’t give as close of a shave as the disposable dermaplaning razors I’m used to. I feel like I have to go over the same area multiple times, and even then, it doesn’t get that super smooth finish I usually get with manual tools.
