My wife listens to music on her phone nearly all day while she is working and lounging around the house on her days off. The unfortunate part is that she listens with the speakers on the phone, which for me is like listening to nails on a chalkboard or a room full of screaming cats/children! Fast forward to a friend's party where someone pulled this little baby out and started streaming music on it. Wow! I whipped out my phone, popped open the Amazon app, and bought one immediately, right there at the party. This little thing packs a nice punch for the size and price! Now don't get me wrong, you're not going to have a dance party with 100 people in a warehouse with it, but for its intended purpose, it is REALLY nice. The sound quality is excellent! Bonus: if you buy two, you can pair them together and stream through 2 speakers at a time! It takes 3 hours to fully charge from dead, but it lasts for days. I think my wife says she charges it every 3-4 days, and she is probably streaming music for 3-6 hours a day with it. It is about the size of a soda can in diameter, and a little shorter, like maybe 2/3rds the size of a 12 oz can. Wife loves that she can pop it in her bag and take it anywhere: to the beach, out in the yard, poolside, etc. Also love that it is water and dust proof, as wife can sometimes be a little aloof and careless with tech. Right off you can tell the speakers are pretty good just by the weight of each. These are good speakers for the money. I bought two and connect them together via bluetooth. They put out good sound from my laptop for the size they are and are great for portability, just drop them in your backpack and jam anywhere. They surely beat the output of the laptop speakers alone. The higher sounds come out clear and the bass is not bad for such a small speaker, about even either end of the sound spectrum. They're not big thumpers if that's what you're looking for but rather just a good quality sound output that is adequate. It has a kinda soft rubber like feeling finish which I like and are washable with a cloth. Haven't tried them underwater. The speakers charge up good in a few hours and mine last all day and night. They sound best when fully charged. Connectivity is easy too which a plus for me since I'm not that great at techie stuff. All in all, I like the speakers and recommend them. Read more

This is an excellent product for the price. It's made by Sony, so you are going to get what you pay for. These speakers have overall great sound and bass for their size. The volume can continue to be increased on them even if the volume on the computer, Android, iPad or other devices reach their limit, just by using the plus or minus signs on the side of each speaker to turn them up or down individually; or if the speakers are paired, only one speaker needs to be turned up for both speakers to increase/decrease in volume. Get two or more in this compact and portable size for great surround-sound and functionality! And finally, these pair up easily just by turning them on at the same time for 3 seconds and then hold down the add buttons for 3 seconds at the same time, to lastly, turn on the Bluetooth to connect to your device. Do not try to connect these speakers to one device when you have other devices with Bluetooth running at the same time. Thank you Sony so very very much for living up to your name!!! They may not be top of the line, expensive speakers like Bose, JBL etc., but they are definitely the next best thing. For the price, none better can be found! Read more

Likes: 1. I bought two of these portable speakers because of the stereo sound option they provide. When connected correctly, the sound quality is quite nice for their size. I can also have both speakers connected to my device so that they produce more of a surround sound experience. 2. Relatively inexpensive. I bought these at a marked down price ($35) as I was tired of streaming movies and listening to music on my aging devices. The experience I'm having so far is definitely worth the price U paid. 3. Accessibility and Portability. I love how these speakers are small enough to stick in a jacket pocket, yes still have the added protection of the little handle attached to them. I've only travelled with them once as of this review, yet it was quite easy to have them pair with new devices with very little trouble. Dislikes: 1. The battery life isn't living up to my expectations at the moment. I generally keep them off when not in use, and I don't watch shows or stream music very often due to my daily schedule. Despite this, the speakers don't seem to hold well past a few episodes of my favorite shows and/or a movie or two. 2. Some connectivity issues. While the stereo sound option is awesome when set up correctly, I can't always get the speakers in tune with each other, despite the diagrams I get from the directions sent with them. I've had streaming sessions delayed because I had to take time to figure out what happened with Bluetooth connection. Better instructions on how to connect the speakers would be very helpful; the current guide really isn't enough sometimes.
