These pimple patches might be geared more towards teens but as an adult in my early 40s, I also love them and have no problem using them. If you're looking for a more discreet pimple patch then this isn't the one for you as they do stand out especially when the light hits them since they're holographic. I seen someone else mention that they glowed in the dark but they definitely do not. This set comes with 2 different shapes, stars and clouds which I love since the different shapes work better for certain areas. I really like the clouds to use on my upper lip or near my nose and the stars on my cheeks. Besides being super cute, these patches work great! They're truly like little miracles and I envy the teens of today that get to use these. If we had pimple patches back when I was a teen, I think it would have made those years so much easier to deal with. These patches reduce the time it takes for pimples to heal and even wearing one for just 6 hours can almost completely eliminate a pimple. It's really amazing to see. I normally only ever have to use 1 patch per pimple, sometimes 2 before they're almost gone. I usually wear them for 6 to 8 hours but no more than 12. I'm definitely a fan and would recommend them not only for teens but for people of any age that struggle still with acne. There's no reason us adults can't have fun with our products as well! I do think that a box of these patches would make a great gift to a teen or tween just starting to deal with acne. Going through those changes can be rough and scary but a gift like this could help make it an easier experience. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is just because it's not the greatest value as you can definitely find more plain pimple patches where you get far more of them for the same price. Let's be honest - deep down inside, we never get rid of that little kid excitement to have a more exciting bandaid than the generic beige ones. Characters? Holograms? Cool designs? LOVE THEM. No tween/teen is ever excited when acne shows up, and we all know that it always shows up when we least want to have a giant pimple on our face - the most noticeable part of our body. Listen, I give the inventor of pimple patches a lot of credit. Kids hate acne, kids want to look good, and pimple patches are a great way to cover a single blemish that's offending you. And if you have to deal with stupid annoying acne on your face - you might as well have some cute or fun options to be able to deal with them if you're not a fan of plain old beige pimple patches. These cloud and star patches are absolutely adorable aesthetically speaking. They primarily have a light blue color with a sort of rainbow hologram effect that's mostly pink/orange/purple when moved around. They are smaller than even some of the smallest small bandaids out there, which makes them great for pimples or blemishes. As far as how they feel, they stick well to the face and don't feel like they're pulling on the skin when you move like some bandaids can do. They are easy to remove and don't really leave behind a sticky film which is good because the last thing you want when you're trying to reduce acne is to have more sticky, oily junk sticking to your face. When speaking of effectivity, these are both hydrocolloid as well as contain salicylic acid and tea tree oil which are known for being fairly effective acne treatments. It's important to make sure you learn about how pimple patches in general work before using them as they don't work for every kind of pimple, but if used on the right kind of pimple for the right amount of time, these can work. They are definitely worth considering if you have a tween/teen who wants to deal with their acne in a healthy way and who also wants to be able to wear something a little more exciting than a standard beige wound covering. These are cute and they stick well. I put them on overnight as needed, but they don't really seem to make redness or swelling decrease overnight, so I don't find them particularly effective. It's possible that they need to be on longer, but I'm not sure. They're easy to remove, and don't leave any kind of residue. They seem decently thick, and are comfortable and barely noticeable. These are fun patches and perfect for times when you don’t plan to go out or you don’t care if people see you treating your spots. The patches peel easily and stay on until you are ready to take them off. You get lots so you don’t need to save them for bigger blemishes.
