You need to use some EQ to boost the mids, because the speakers are not tuned, but holy cow once you do! This thing is a banger, and with the mids EQ'd up you get a good enough listening experience too. We used this for a moving party and it was more than loud enough to fill 3 bedrooms and a living room and kitchen by itself. Neighbors actually complained about the banging bass lol. I purchased the Soundcore Boom 2 by Anker for outdoor activities, and it’s been an excellent speaker so far. The sound is loud and clear, with strong bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. Picked up to play spooky fun Halloween music while we sat outside to give candy to the neighborhood costumed kiddos this year. Good sound, good battery life, stable connection, fun light show on the ends that cycles in time with the music. This replaces and upgrades from a smaller, cheaper and less performant off-brand BT speaker we'd had that had lost its ability to hold a charge. Very pleased with this one. Read more

Very nice speaker for the price! It puts out some serious sound and its not muffled at all. Both ends light up and it can be set to different colors or to the beat of the music. Very easy to set up and connect to the phone. Nice size speaker and it can easily sit on a shelf or table and not take up a lot of room. The only draw back that I can say about this speaker is the cord that they provide isn't very long so you would be limited in the reach. The nice thing is the cord that goes to this a C cable it's easy enough to find and with cell phones using that same cord you can always just switch it out if you need too. Quality is excellent and haven't used it long enough to give any review on the battery life but from other reviews it seems that it does last a long time. I bought this mostly to use in/around my hot tub and use it when im working in the or doing things where ear buds just suck. Like working on a car they always seem to pop out. Sound is more then loud enough if you don't want to piss off your neighbors too much. Battery life has been great. I leave it outside in a plastic shed over winter and anytime ive grabbed it there's been plenty of juice. My only real complaint is that volume +/- and the Play Pause are not illuminated. The other buttons are, the side base reflex or whatever alternate aluminate with a little show, but that Volume up down is just a missed opportunity. At night I can't see them at all.
