I love this item. I make a batch of something and fill each portion and freeze. It freezes beautifully and when you want you can pop out one section for your meal and put the container back in the freezer for next time. Buy this brand worth the money. Nice and thick material. This is the best kitchen gadget I have found in a long time! I like to cook soups, chilis, Indian dishes etc that often produce a large number of servings. Since I am usually just cooking for myself, I always struggle with having to freeze half of whatever I am making, but then not wanting to have it for several days in a row when pulling it out of the freezer. These are the perfect solution. The cubes are the perfect size for one serving at a time, so you can just pull out whatever you're in the mood for. When you're ready to use, you just push out a frozen serving into a dish and heat it up. The portions slide out easily, similar to a large ice cube. The base is durable and doesn't collapse when full or when you are pushing on the lid. That said, it is rubber and has some flex to it, so you need to be somewhat careful when filling and moving it around, but I've not had an issue with any spilling. I've had the product for over 2 years, and it's a great product. Only complaint is that it isn't that odor-resistant. I had left a beef broth with onion in the tray for a month, and even several handwashes/soaks, a few dishwasher washes, and using the item with other liquids did not remove the smell. The smell now is gone, but the product has been airing out for at least 6 months. Read more
I tend to make huge pots of soup, which always gives us more leftovers than we can get through. These cubes have helped us deal with those leftovers so much! You ladle the soup into the cubes, put the lid on, pop them into the freezer! Easy peasy! The units are sturdy, and stackable, so you don’t feel like you are about to dump soup when moving them from the counter to the freezer. Once frozen, I pop the soup cubes out of the tray and put the cube of soup into a ziploc for future meals. The first time I popped the frozen cubes out, I was concerned that I was going to damage the container, but they are so durable and flexible! The soup popped right out and the container went right back to its original shape.
