I gave this 5 stars because it is very nice, sturdy, and does exactly what an infrared heater is made to do. However, I will caution people to consider their needs before investing in one. If you move out of its direct line of heat - you will be cold! It takes much longer for the rest of the room to warm up if you are in a garage, or poorly insulated room. I have had faster heating results with ceramic space heaters. That said, this infrared heater doesn'tmake me feel sick or uncomfortable the way other types of heaters do, i.e. my throat and skin dont dry out. I also dont feel like I wake up because its too hot. It works really well for me and I do recommend. Read more

So far, this heater is doing a decent job. It is surprisingly small and doesn't make a lot of noise, but it still manages to warm things up nicely. We are using it to heat our sunroom here in the Pacific Northwest. Even with big glass sliding doors and windows on three sides, it handles the recent weather—dipping down to near freezing at night—without much trouble. The experience hasn't been perfect, though. We quickly found out that this unit draws a lot of power. Every time someone used the microwave while the heater was running, it tripped the breaker, so we had to move it to an outlet on a different circuit. That makes sense once I looked closer at the specs; it seems to only have one power setting: High (1500W). The manual is actually quite confusing because it talks about ECO modes and variable settings so they seem to be using the same manual for other models as well. This one just blasts heat and then cycles on and off frequently. I really wish it had a sustained lower power mode to avoid that constant cycling. The build quality of the accessories is also questionable. The remote feels like brittle plastic, and when I tried to slide the battery cover off, my thumb literally went right through the material and broke the cover in two. Just be aware it needs AAA batteries, which aren't included. Also, the tip-over safety is a bit different than I am used to. Most heaters shut off if you barely bump them, but this one requires a pretty steep angle to engage the safety kill switch. I haven't decided if that is good or bad yet. On the plus side, there are hooks on the back to wrap the cord, which makes moving or storing it easier. It works well for heat, just be gentle with the remote. 3.5 Stars --- For anyone interested, the exact product I purchased was listed as: RealSmart 1500W Infrared Heaters for indoor use Electric Space Heater Comfort Realsmart Quartz Large Room Indoor Heaters with Remote Control Timer Overheat & Tip Over Protection for Bedroom Office The ASIN for the version I received was: B0G144BL9W Read more
