I went looking for these after a rather painful lesson that computer posture was rather important. I quite enjoy them, but there are some ups and downs. Pros - No velcro, laces, etc., which keeps them from looking overly "medical". They don't fall off or unravel. The fabric isn't irritating to my (relatively) sensitive skin. The upper band ends below my knuckles, allowing full finger dexterity (Note - small hands, larger palms, size medium). It does a remarkable job of not picking up most animal hair. They're easy to clean, and don't take a particularly long time to dry. Above all, they also very much do their job, and are amazing for reducing pain and discomfort when using my hands, and I can happily wear them for several hours. Cons - the elastic is prone to breaking and showing, which is especially noticeable in the pink version, pictured above (possibly other colours, unsure), while the black version has black elastic, making it less noticeable. It tends to do this primarily around the thumb. It has a tendency to warp in areas I tug it while adjusting it, also shown in the picture. The thumb hole could be smaller for me, as it tends to stretch wider, slide down my hand, and sort of "pinch" on the skin, which can be unpleasant if I leave it. They're also prone to occasionally picking up shorter pieces of human hair, and bits of lint. I would love to have given this a higher rating, but it just fell a little flat for me compared to expectation. All the reviews I had read on it prior to purchasing were so positive, that I had very high hopes when I received it myself. I have been experiencing some excruciating carpal tunnel pain brought on as a result of pregnancy symptoms and was in need of something to help lessen the pain I was experiencing at work while typing and writing. While these do help to some degree, I feel that I might have been better off choosing a sleeve with individual finger holes rather than one giant cuff - that part has started to expand and is no longer effective in its compression as far as that area of the hand is concerned. The thumb hole, on the other hand, is tight & uncomfortable to the point where the seam rubs my skin almost raw. I've had the sleeves less than a month, and the elastic/stitching is already coming split & frayed in some places -- keep in mind that I don't wear both sleeves at the same time - I only use one for my right hand daily, so I switch them out every other day to ensure that one is not being worn more than the other, yet this issue is still occurring. Overall.... it was worth a try, and they helped a small amount, but I wouldn't pay the $20 for them again. Read more

The Sparthos wrist support really does double duty. It supports both wrist and hand. It's exactly what I've been looking for for the past two years. I tend and water plants in a large garden center. It's hard on the hands, working with heavy duty rubber hoses -- unwrapping the hose, straightening it, twisting kinks out, moving and adjusting the hose while watering benches of plants and holding the hose overhead to water hanging baskets. I need more support than a typical fingerless compression glove provides. The Sparthos wrist support fits snugly on the wrist and around the palm of the hand, The extra support for the hand makes doing my job more comfortable and secure. I sprained my hand a few weeks ago and began looking for some sort of support to wear as it healed. Although described as a wrist support, the Sparthos support also supports the palm and knuckle joints of the hand. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. These sleeves are exactly what I wanted and needed. After having carpal tunnel surgery and trigger thumb (an excruciatingly painful condition where your thumb locks in place) surgery, now several years later I am still having issues with weakness, soreness, and pain in my wrists and thumbs. These sleeves provide great support and helps alleviate my pain. The size guide was spot on for me. My wrists measure right at 6 1/2 inches. I considered getting a small because I have small hands, I'm 4'9" so my extremities are small, but I got the medium like the size guide indicated and they fit great. There's just the right amount of compression and support, the fabric is breathable, and the design is just what I was looking for. It's not bulky but very sleek, I didn't want velcro, and they stretch far enough up my arms to support my entire problem areas. I at work for hours a day, I exercise using my wrists a lot doing palates and yoga, and I perform other tasks that are tedious and strenuous on my wrists and thumbs. The support from these sleeves have been tremendously helpful. I wear them all day long. Searching Amazon for just the right product can be tiresome and it's hard deciding exactly what to get but I made the right decision getting these. I do highly recommend these. Read more

I've found these work better than other braces and gloves I've tried. I have pain in both hands no one hand I have middle finger and thumb pain. Both of which can be quite extreme. But I'm very active and I need my hands so I try and ignore it and manage best I can these helped me get through the day. I ordered a size medium my wrists are six and a half I'm afraid they will wear out soon from taking them on and off the edges are already starting getting a little loose. I really wish they fit a little farther up on palm, near my thumb. That's main reason it's a four instead of a five for me. However I'd like to order a second pair but I'm debating whether I should go with the small so that maybe they will cover palm near thumb. And to allow for losing it to elasticity.
