I’ve been wearing the Spenco 3/4 inserts for almost 20 years if not longer. I’m flat footed and had been experiencing foot pain starting in my early twenties….shortly after my arches fell. My doc told me to try these but at the time they costed more than I wanted to spend. So I ignored his recommendation. When I finally decided to try insert, I went and purchased a different brand some from the local pharmacy because I wasn’t shopping online 20 years ago. Those things hurt sooooo bad I swore against them. After another year of dealing with the pain of flat feet, I decided to go ahead and order from the website my Doctor had originally given me. When I received and began wearing those Spenco inserts, it changed my life. They helped alleviate foot, back, shoulder and headache pain. Just that little tweak in alignment starting at the feet help shift so much in my upright posture. Afterward, I didn’t care about the cost and so I ordered 3 more pair… 2 for me and one for hubby. I put the in all my regular/daily shoes and would swap them into my not-so regular shoes when I’d change shoes. When my kids became teens in track, basketball, volleyball and soccer, they also needed the support of the Spencos. Now they are adults and just like me, they are sure to have a pair or two on hand. These are amazing. They Work for plantar fasciitis. The arch can be molded with heat (usually at the podiatrist office they adjust them). For me, they fit in most of the shoes even with my chubby feet. Sometimes you have to remove the shoe insole and replace it with this one to get extra space. Read more

I'm a nurse, so I am on my feet and walking for 12 hours at a time. My Nike tennis shoes had almost no arch support, so I got these after a recommendation. They are comfortable, fit in my shoes, and provided great support. The only con would be that they made my shoes squeak for like a month. I guess I wore them in enough that they don't squeak anymore and I didn't care enough to replace them. Overall, these are great insoles and I doubt that they will make everyone's shoes squeak, so I wouldn't let that dissuade you from getting these. Read more

I have tried many orthotics and shoe inserts, and overall these are the best. I own a few pairs. These even work better in most of my shoes over a custom pair I have at 8x the cost. They are very thin and will fit in most shoes. They provide good support without excessive arch. They are extremely durable! I have used these on multiple backpacking trips with a 35lb pack and they hold up very well. The soft padded top never seems to wear out or tear. Finally, the firm plastic arch support underneath has never broken or cracked, and it flexes a little with each step. Quality is excellent. I've also tried the regular Spenco 3/4 arch support (not thinsole). These have a thicker and stiffer arch support (with a visible arch strengthening grid) and the arch is also higher. I would only recommend those for shoes that have the extra space to accomodate them and for people who want a high arch support. I'll try to add photos. Read more

My podiatrist recommended the Spenco Rx Thinsole for use in my athletic shoes for overall support, as well as arch support. She checked the Thinsoles fit for each foot individually, and no trimming was required. They definitely reduce pain when I am working out at the gym as well as when I am walking in the neighborhood. If you try the Thinsoles, be prepared for a FIRM support that other, more flexible insoles will not provide. This can take some getting used to but is much better for your feet. And your balance as well! I also have the option of having the podiatrist mold my Thinsoles to be worn as my personal orthotics . . . time will tell if I need to spend the $$$ for that. One last comment: I am a 75-year old woman who ran for many years in poorly fitting shoes. Please take good care of your feet! You younger folks have many more options in athletic shoes but may still need the support the Spenco Rx Thinsoles provide at a very reasonable price. Read more
